Fallout 3

5% damage not just the cosmetic thing.

Game runs perfect for me, only got a CTD the 1st time I entered Megaton with my test character, then I started a new game and haven’t gotten any problems whatsoever.

The engine actually feels much better optimized than Oblivions engine, loading times are almost unnoticeable reducing hard drive trashing/stutter. (note that I’m not saying it runs faster than Oblivion, I’m only saying it feels more polished overall)

I hope we’ll get tons of mods for this one as we got for TES IV, heck, if the construction set is anything like the OB CS I’ll start playing with it as soon as I get the chance.

Doing Unarmed + Bloody Mess is too fun. A Gigaton punch to the face of an enemy never gets old for me.

Same thing I did. Find the shocker and get paralyzing palm at 20.

I’ll second that:

Est-ce que la version Franaise est bien traduite

Dunno, haven’t played the english version (i wish i had it though…i always prefered english over french in movies & games).
Seems pretty good so far, but

sigh where’s my

Yeah I agree, it’s never the same in French. I was just wondering if they bothered getting French VA’s and if the script was at least passable. It really detracts from my enjoyment when I know the English version is leaps and bounds better.

lol @ french people.

Where do you find the power fist?

Lol @ your mother. I jammed my power fist up her nether regions.

Tell her I said hi.

There’s one in the sewer area next to Dukov’s mansion where you have to test out the rat repellent for the field guide.

What’s with Dukov anyways? Does he give quests? Is he just there?

I forget, lol.

I dropped it - it was slowing me down, lol.

I tend to horde small guns, maining the combat shotgun.

…bloody mess is too good.

EDIT What Amordien says sounds right.

Where is the damn entrance to Rivet City?! Is it in the water or something? Following the arrow leads me to the train station next door.

^ theres a bridge you have to extend. If you can find the homeless guy that you can give water to there should be a button somewhere that you can hit.

Dogmeat! Noooooooooooooo.

no, but he’s involved in a quest.

okay so I’ve finally finished the game. I came up a teeny bit shy of level 20 using no experience talents, and I had explored more or less every zone, and done every quest. It took me about 50 hours, but I think some of that was letting the game sit while I was doing other stuff.

At first I was a little jaded seeing how similar it was to oblivion but, I had forgotten that I used to love oblivion as well. This game reminded me of that. More or less I’m pleased with the game experience I got, and I don’t regret buying it.

Also I can definitely see this game warranting another playthrough for the easter eggs I missed as well as playing the game as evil, and building my character differently.

If anyone has any questions or gets stuck, or just wants a suggestion on character build I’ll pop in and out of this thread to give my 2 cents.

i’m definitely planning to play again after i beat it. roleplaying a guy with high charisma and bartering + speechcraft definitely was a failed experiment. i ended up pumping up small arms just to stay alive. my next experiment will be to max endurance and strength, and go unarmed, maybe with explosives as a backup. i’ve already got a rough idea of a build.

See my guy has almost exactly what you have and I have had alot of success with it.

My char is doing swell with charisma+speech maxed out. I do however intend to make a CCQ char in my next playthrough… maybe evil as well lol.
