NASTY lolol. Goofy characters worked alright in 2D, but they look creepy and weird in full blown 3D. Rufus and Birdie are hella nasty to look at.

Honestly, Fang is easily the most interesting of the new characters, definitely gonna main him when he’s out.

OK before I post this, my Japanese sucks (WIP) and this could definitely be wrong in more than a few places. But I didn’t see anyone take a crack at the famitsu article yet, so I thought I would.
Since I didn’t see it listed, I’m kind of thinking the evasion ability that went under a fireball in the trailer is just his forward dash…

V-Trigger
Poisonous Fog 毒濃霧（どくのうむ）
Fang’s body is clad in a poisonous fog, and when close to the enemy they will become poisoned, losing health little by little.
V-Skill
Double Poison 二升毒（にしょうどく）
A poison shot flies in the direction of the opponent. This has no attack power, but is unblockable and upon contact, poisons your opponent.
Double Foul 二死球（にしきゅう）
Two high poison bullets fly in the direction of the opponent. Attack strength alters the distance/trajectory. Due to the ability to change the trajectory, opponents will regret trying to jump to avoid this.
Double Whip Strike 両鞭打（りょうべんだ）
Poison fog spreading from the ground technique. A poison mist quickly secretes from the ground and lingers for a short while, striking at the end of the attack. This technique has various applications.
Critical Art (Super move) 死屍累々（ししるいるい）
Heap of Corpses
Fang leaps into the sky, and while flying shoots poison shots down below. If this attack hits on the way up, it will heavily damage the opponent and also poison them in the process.
that explains the two minutes stuff. I wonder if it has something to do with the time the poison takes to start causing damage, like 2 seconds after impact
I’m digging this character a bunch. He has that deranged, eccentric, obsessive characteristic to him. A+ from capcom, for taking a chance and nailing an original character.
Unblockable poison attack? Count me fucking in.
Yeah. Between that, his movement, and his pokes, he seems interesting.
Blanka, Hakan, and Rufus are still in their own league as far “dumb fucking design” go.
FANG’s super looks retarded, but to be fair, half the supers in SFV don’t even make sense anyway.
Aside from that, I’m pretty neutral. Don’t hate him nor like him because he’s not even playable yet.

You know, Im actually starting to like fang quite a bit. Laura is 100% my main now, though I think fang will be my secondary. His style sounds fun and interesting and…idk, he’s just SO FUCKING WEIRD. It somehow compells me to try him out.
That he is.
But that’s not saying much IMO. FANG is simply the least uninspired and mediocre of the lot. His VAs annoying and seem to fit him well.
I’m probably more pissed off about his super than anything, except maybe that Shadaloo stage. I can feel that I will probably end up liking this guy though, especially if he is a charge character.
Fan’s voice is intentionally grating because that’s his character. I don’t think Laura’s was supposed to be as bad as it is. Even the Japanese voice is kind of annoying (a bit to high-pitched imo), but the English voice is just terrible; like, SF4 English Akuma terrible.
