I’ve had the game lock up on the white screen just before the VERSUS screen. It only started happening yesterday, and it happened 3 times… no access to the dashboard, nothing. just frozen.
It also happened once during a Storm hailstorm.
The unblockable super bug for stuff like AHVB and headcrush is also very annoying. I play Spiral, and can’t teleport on reaction anymore. she just sits there and takes it.
I used Ruby/sent/ken. When match started, I magically turned into magneto (wtf) and mags had all of ruby’s soundbytes. moves looked really funky. When i supered, it looked like mags square jumping with rh really fast. then i dhc’d to sent. whenever i mashed on ruby i mean magneto, he would come out and turn into a piece of tempest and lay on the ground  . and he wouldn’t move unless he got hit. Also, with mags on point, i tried doing 1 of ruby’s moves and the same thing happened, turned into a popcorn and lied on the ground. if you do the move again, he turned back to normal. :wtf:
It seems like you have to mash twice as hard/long. If I don’t stop mashing, I usually pop out. If I stop mashing at ‘arcade’ levels, I don’t pop out. Probably the timing window is changed… ?
I don’t know how to go about fixing this, but to me the most annoying part about laggy matches is the fact that the screen position tends to be a step behind whatever they are doing. So in cases where the screen would normally unlock, it takes a bit longer to happen.
Kinda like the old days with ST and kaillera when you had to guess how long the bounce off the end of the stage would last.
so i’m sitting in training mode earlier today and I watch magnus do s.fp, however it causes some really bad slow down. This is not present in the DC version.
sometimes when you call storm and you have magnus, dashing around will cause random slow down.
why is this crap there? even the basics are getting harder to perform…
This is also posted on Capcom-Unity’s mvc2 bug thread.
I’m repeatedly hitting the phantom loss bug. I’ve been paying more attention to it now since I went undefeated some days and yet would end up with losses.
Tonight on my XBox 360 as gamertag zachdms I played 5 ranked games in a row, starting at a record of 370 and 90, against:
uhtawmic and
Demonstar101
crhpg436
THEGOODBADGUY23
Exiter19
After winning those five matches, my record was 374 and 91, which is bogus.
This happened at about 12:36AM PST on 8/6/09. I don’t know what information you need to sift through the stats, but wins/losses are evidently being misreported. None of these matches were close, either. =\
This makes me angry. I have no idea how percent of my losses are fake losses, but it is NOT a small percentage. 30% phantom losses? In this example, 20% of my wins are dropped to losses. :wtf:!
I’m going crazy with these phantom losses. I can’t even figure out what’s causing them.
I just went 20-0 and the leaderboard says I went 16-4. THIS IS BULLSHIT. None of these matches were close. I went DOWN on the leaderboards going undefeated.
I realize things are broken, but — it’s a pretty sad problem.
I’m going to be angry until somebody from Capcom says “We’re looking into it” at which point I will simply be sullen.
My 360 froze up in the middle of a Ranked Match (it was a pretty close match too, dang it!), and after restarting it and playing a couple matches, What do I find? My All-time Rating is 0, putting my rank at like, the very bottom of the Leaderboard. WTF? Weirdest part: I’m pretty sure it made my Weekly rank abnormally high.
so as i posted in the main thread. im experiencing major lag using a wireless controller while playing offline. i tested both controllers doing dash canceling and it was blatantly obvious that, well, it was not reading the inputs properly, resulting in me doing nothing when trying to dash. i also tested with the wired controller in mvc2 offline and it worked excellent. i tested wired and wireless with sf4 just now just to see if it was just me not noticing some type of lag since i been playing mostly on the wired controller for months now, and nope, everything feels fine with sf4 in training mode. so for some reason when playing offline mvc2, you cannot play on a wireless controller, unless you just enjoy not having your moves come out when you hit the buttons.
making sure a wireless 360 controller works is the last thing we should ask them to fix. The game is designed for sticks, go get one or if you refuse to play on a stick, go get a wired controller.
I’m betting that this game will only get ONE patch which is my personal speculation. Go find something that will mess up tournament play because that’s what really matters.
There are signs of dropped inputs while playing online. Take magnetos infinite for example. Say I got it going for a few reps and I’m @ the part where I have to hit add.lk. add.lk is actually 3 separate inputs that consist of down, 2 punches and lk. Online, sometimes it negates all 3 of these inputs which is pretty bothersome. If the game was skipping inputs you’d think that @ least 1 of the 3 separate inputs would come out but they don’t. Its missing all 3 of those inputs…
and why is it easier to do add.lk, d.lk as a link now during the rom? that shit is super hard to do on the DC version but the on the 360, its 100x easier. There’s something off about the game in general. Its not acting properly…
I don’t know how they can use the DC version of ST and port it over to the 360 99% accurately for HDR and they can’t do the same for marvel. Its been done already, wtf is so hard about porting properly when you’re being paid to do it right?
