Experiencing any bugs in MVC2?

I was using row, and when i mashed cable, strider would come out and do a low sword swipe, then do the air glide move.

I’ve had the same issue multiple times.

And I don’t know if it’s a bug (although I do hope it is) but Cable’s AHVB is not blockable after the super flash. I noticed this in online mode and blamed it on the lag, but myself and a few other players were testing it last night in practice mode, and if you are not already blocking at the time of the super flash for AHVB you WILL be hit by it.

Why did they give cable an aerial proton-cannon? =\

They felt cable’s skills were lacking. glitched juggernaut into unblockable super… broke shit

Yesterday I snapped out Psylocke in a ranked game and Doom came in, but he still made all of Psylocke’s noises. It was hilarious.

Console: Xbox 360
Mode: Player Match
Controller: SFIV TE Stick

I created Player Match lobby online with about 4-6 people. And with one person in particular, the Lobby screen would freeze and we could not start another match, the XBox button was fully functional but the controls themselves were’nt.

There are also aesthetic glitches conducive to lag spikes where if someone is thrown or hit by a projectile that causes a color layer (for effect) to be put over the sprite that color stays on the sprite through the match.

Example: Someone is hit by Captain Corridor from Captain Commando–the opponent stays blue the whole match.

Whenever Juggernaut does snapback, his audio sample glitches out.

during an online ranked match, while finished selecting the characters, my opponent hit a lag spike so when his team showed up in the vs. screen it showed two fuzzy black space for Mag and Storm and for sentinel, spider man showed.

and in another match, I punished this MSP user for calling psylocke too much, then lag spike occurred and she regained like 55% life…I stopped for a minute thinking “wtf, thought she was dead!!!”

Is this similar to the AVHB unblockable issue?

Yes. It appears that anything one frame or so may not be blockable if you’re in neutral at move input.

I checked the Juggy issue on the DC and the 360 and they both behave the same at long and very close distance. Close being unblockable during the super freeze and far being blockable. I’m assuming the difference is during some intermeditate distance.

BTW- Whats the consensus on the speed of the game? Some people are saying that the default speed it too fast.

I’ve confirmed offline is the same as the DC, so I’m assuming this is an online only issue.

would it make a difference if people post the pings also when they’re having this craziness on the screen? i mean, it should be talked about either way, but from a technical standpoint i just figured i would bring it up if it may matter at all, and no one thought to add that info yet.

when you’re hosting a game you have no idea what ping the other player has. So it’ll be impossible almost to come up with a list. Unless everyone is just joining games.

chun-li’s thighs…how did you confirm the two speeds were the same? That would take some sort of computer program or something wouldn’t it? I dont’ think looking at each side by side would be a significant judge.

I didn’t use a program or anything, but this seems qualitative enough. Just set up 2 of the same tv’s side by side, one with the DC and one with the 360. Had them start a match with the same characters and then started them at the same time. After I confirmed that the in game clocks were the in sync, I made the characters continually jump straight up and down for the rest of the match to see if their jumps desyncs. While it may not be the most exact way to do it, if people are discerning a speed difference, this should be good enough to spot it. I did not see any difference.

I noticed a speed issue
I was playing online last night and it appeared to have speed up in only one match which was on the boss stage and it didnt happen again all night

I was playing last night and my character’s (Chun-Li) sprite was drawn crazy style - as if each quadrant of the character was diagonally flipped. Very weird. Camoflage?

Cool. Thanks for testing it. Maybe people who think it’s faster either hadn’t played the Dreamcast version in awhile or had online issues. Not sure.

Granted it’s not as scientific as having a frame count, but if it all syncs up, that should work.

Also, turn off fancy sprites. Move to Classic sprites in the Video settings.

Once upon a time… publishers had to hire game testers… and spend months or even years testing and getting rid of bugs… it cost a fortune I’m sure…

Now I guess they can just release it before its ready and let thousands of internet gamers do the testing for them… sorta a raw deal for us… but it does allow for much more rapid release.

Moral is… don’t complain about how long it takes to get a release and throw a fit when something gets pushed back… b/c then they go ahead and release jenky shit like the 360 version of this game…

Played a guy playing team Mike Z. He DHC into Juggernaut and out comes Ironman charging forward with his proton cannon.:wonder:

I don’t think the game is faster, I think since its on an advance console, there is no slowdown so it seems faster. For instance, if I do bb hood, iron man, magneto (tempest) triple team, it does it without the game looking like its suffering through a heart attack. It just does it, and the characters bounce out.

I also got the 2 storm hailstorm where the game freezes, but it didn’t freeze. It just showed 2 storm icons on the left and right at the same time. Normal 1 man combos like the mag infinite or the iron man infinite seems to be the same to me.
