Excellent players you played online

you need to feel the air around you man, its smooth

I’ve never understood people who pick a character based on how many people play him/her. I mean seriously, what does it matter?

Either way Yun is fun as hell to play.

I hate fighting Chuns

Only the bad ones that mash super randomly while you’re putting them in frame traps or blockstrings -_-

Personally, I love playing against Chuns. I’ve gotten so used to them over the years that I feel very comfortable in that matchup. It’s hard, but it’s still very rewarding be it win or lose. If I play against good Chuns, I’m up for a hell of a match. If I’m against a bad Chun, whatever. I’m gonna stomp this scrubby-ass Chun.

2 hits. That won’t combo.
Hard on the back lean.

But it can and has (did it on someone myself), interrupted Chun SA2 flying horizontally at him. Best served cold for KO right there, since light attack = crumple over animation. AFAIK, all hitting taunts do chip damage (Not Urien) So Ken’s here will.

Both.

The former is possible but I find the latter extremely hard to believe.

I’m sure they realized the game engine would have called for some things to get discovered here and there, like charge partitioning and kara-inputs. I don’t think they realized just how deep the players would try to reach in order to find everything, though.

Same thing with Roll Cancels in CvS2. I’m sure they knew it was bound to happen, but they didn’t expect how it’d change the whole game.

Not that impossible. It took the devs 3 tries to make a good SF3 game through trial and error.

I can never quite understand what the fuck you are posting about, but you are quickly becoming one of my favorite posters on SRK

Anyone on the East Coast/Southeast want games? I should be practicing KoF for Final Roundbats but 3s too fun

one thing I like about OE is that I can run Elena as a secondary without being subject to playing on her level

but then they pick Elena’s stage anyway. it’s because these people hate me I’m pretty sure. they know.

her stage has sick music though

Ken taunt came from google search, another SRK thread, then a tripod. If ya’ll don’t know already, Zweifuss site is great for almost 100% of your SF3 sprite & backgrounds needs:

http://www.zweifuss.ca/

but will not allow hyperlink after long, so host your stuff yourselves after picking character, palette color, move. Have to upscale it yourself if you like how big they are in zoom.

I enjoy a potentially laggy guy, maybe he’s running filters as reported on Marvel 2 can mess up the game(not same dev, but same concept) maybe crazy ratio screen too, GGPO delay without understanding it - Ponder wrote in Skullgirls forum about how setting it wrong can affect both players @ minimums (not maximums yet, should’ve asked)

picking Yang stage.

The worst you have to deal with in Elena stage is more color packs that can blend right into the red background. but I guess a lot of them do just that on every stage. :frowning:

Chnchilla, if you want some more, I’m happy to run another FT10 Ken v Ken, especially now that you’re probably more in the groove. I’m about to hop on.

Ok, sorry, that was that last one. Last-ish one.

I actually loved Elena stage when I first saw it and often picked it affectionately, but then people started complaining. I play on CRT and I’ve noticed my 360 produces drab colors in both 3S and SF4 compared to my PS3, for whatever reason. When I saw the stage for the first time on the brilliant HD (moderately laggy) monitors at Next Level, I knew why a lot of people dislike it.

That has no bearing on whether or not the team knew the directions kara techniques would go in (don’t forget that kara cancels were deliberately implemented way back in SF2 to make the inputs for special moves more lenient than SF1).

I’ve been up since 5 am and I’m a few beers deep but why the hell not

I tried to play AE after not playing it for a long time and from playing a lot of 3S

AE feels so scrubby with everyone pressing jab so they can link into combos and shit LOL

Not as bad as SFxT. AE is actually pretty deep with frame traps, safe jumps, option selects and the hard ass links… Execution in 3s is generally pretty easy, those god damn links in SF4 are a bitch.

played duralath last night

got bodied
definitely wasn’t ready for a urien that knew what they were doing
