Excellent players you played online

Yeah I have no fucking clue whats going on with this thread

I like fighting Chun. only character I hate in 3s is Twelve. if they wanted to rebalance 3s and the only balance change was removing Twelve from the game that would sound good to me.

Well, some characters are bad solely because of Chun-li (Oro,Remy). Keep playing, and get more experience. If you’re having more trouble with twelve than Chun-li, then both you, and your opponent aren’t too great yet.

I didn’t say I had trouble with him. I just think he’s an awful character. And is irritating as shit to fight against.

If he’s irritating, you probably have some semblance of trouble against him. If someone wanted a guaranteed win, they would most likely want to fight a good Twelve over a good Chun-li. If you just have a better time fighting Chun-li, then that’s that.

editing this post because I can make it a better post than it was before. all new post.

Twelve is easier to beat than a good Chun

I just enjoy fighting against Chun more. playing against Twelve bothers me and it has little to do with it being a difficult fight and a lot to do with how Twelve plays as a character. same feeling I get against El Fuerte. shenanigans.

I’m not an amazing player but I’m not awful and I’m not at the level of “new guy has more trouble against Twelve than Chun” like you’re implying. if you wanna play some day we can do that.

dunno what else to say besides that lol. you can hate a character without thinking they’re hard to beat. I’ve done well against the well known Twelve players online (Red Larry, Brown Dog) (yes I know LOL online etc) so it’s not about that. he’s just not my favorite fight.

while we’re on the subject of not my favorite let’s all make a vow to never choose Elena’s stage on purpose. dudes in ranked leave random stage select to go find Elena’s stage. it’s maddening.

victriny3 mk makoto spam …

lol…i dunno thats one character i’ve always enjoyed fighting against.

whoop dat trick

chun’s thighs are so thick

fixed

What makes them cool? I mean I really like all of their animations, aesthetics, and supers. I guess there is not really a character I dislike in this game and I do believe they all have purpose (yes, even Twelve) but I’m pretty sure virtually zero pro players in North America have top tier guilt.

For me it may sound elitist or whatever but I don’t play those characters because everyone else does. It has nothing to do with playing a good character but really a huge downfall of this game in North America was the extensive Chuns, Yuns, Kens in tourneys. For a lot of new players they enjoy the fact that they can play a character they are attracted to and not feel entirely useless or have some semblance of a chance at winning. Now we all know Japan’s mentality towards the game differs from North America and we see great players slave away at low tier characters and part of that dynamic is what keeps that game alive.

I may get a lot of flack for this but I always liked Capcom’s original intentions to not have any SF2 cast present in SF3. I love the way the SF2 cast plays in 3S but I can’t help but think how the game would be different if they were excluded. What other characters would take their place? What other characters would be included? I’m realistic as was Capcom and I know that would never really fly but I always thought the 3S cast was more interesting than SF2 cast (in the context of the game anyways).

To me top tiers will never be as cool because everyone plays ‘em. However, 3S cast is pretty fuckin’ cool regardless. Something about this game is alluring when you play low tier and sure it may be crippling but it’s also very fun to try and “master” a character most people feel is not worth the time.

played a good dude today. name was Kevin Tempura. anyone familiar with him? weird thing was he handled our Ken mirror pretty well and won handily but then left the match right after the KO.

He has that problem of believing what he’s saying is the only important thing and everyone else is just stupid and unable to see it.
It’s not a good quality.

it’s ok to dislike chun. as long as you don’t act like a kid about it when playing in person. i wonder if people would be more interested in 3S if the best players hadn’t chosen to use the strongest characters competitively. would things be different if justin wong decided to main alex? people just see the top guys and see the chun repeatedly and think that is what 3S is. it’s just a shame that’s how it turned out. people don’t bother to spend time on 3S because they think they already understand what it will become at a higher level of play. fart.

also 0 sf2 era chars in sf3 series would have been cool but just a bad idea. i think they found a good balance. ryu is also a beast

3s is like drugs

I said “I’ll just play a half hour then get to bed early, gotta work tomorrow.” that was at 3AM.

then I was like “just one more then I’ll go to sleep.” that was at 4AM.

it is now 9:35AM and now I am done. I should go to bed.

Man fuck yall i like elena’s stage. I think the tops are cool and thats prolly because I only watch japanese 3s and the top players use the characters so damn well. Its awesome. And alot of character variety, so its not like you see only top 4.

do you play other humans in person…
you should care about NA if you’re from NA.

that attitude is why our scene is awful.

Do you mean they didn’t anticipate how strong some 3S kara-throws would be or do you mean they didn’t anticipate the actual existence of them?

It’s never making a ‘comeback’. not sure why that matters.
if you live and play in NA you should care about 3S in NA.

Welp cant argue that
