Excellent players you played online

god damn this myth is incredibly pervasive. nothing in 3S is technically difficult. to do a semi fancy combo in 4 requires a lot more finger gymnastics.
3s has EXACTLY that, simplicity. the complexity comes from how players use the simple system mechanics to create more complex situations.

3S has less strict timing on a lot. unless you play someone like Oro, dudley or yun where being consistent at juggling really pays off, everything else is basically a series of cancelled normals/specials which require no specific timing. unlike 4 where to even do jab jab jab requires specific timing. in 3S all supers are either qcfx2, 360, or 720. 3S has essentially the same shortcuts, just a smaller input window. 3S also auto corrects.

3S is completely casual friendly. if you sat down a group of novice players and had them play 3S they would be doing stuff that looks the same as 4.

Agreed, 3s is actually pretty easy compared to other games…

this. i got my roomate playing on a stick doing akuma bnb’s and mixups. he even managed to parry half of chun’s SA2. i was like

People hate 3s? Really? Who hates it?

Its not so much that hes good Its more that his opponent was bad, and obviously didn’t know how to play 3s or use Urien.

Getting double perfects vs people that play 3s like they’ve literally just started, does not make you good…

Thats what I said. HUZZAH WERE IN AGREEMENT!!! internet high five

Plenty of people since way back, mainly because of parries. Eventually people got sick of top tiers in this game, and in higher levels it can be very unenjoyable because of that Chun/Yun wall. You could also say that SRK hates every single game in the known universe so every game gets shit on as much as 3S; it’s just this scene cries harder than the rest. :stuck_out_tongue:

Lookin for some good players on psn? check out uyg 24/7 live stream! where only the best of the best play! and if you don’t… then i guess you’re not the best =/

nice ad dude.
real slick.

I’ll apologize on his behalf as I am affiliated with that community.

It is a primarily SF4 based PSN community. No idea why he’s posting that here … LOL

WTF?

Just played against JR Rodriguez in a FT10. Got blown up 10-0. He’ll probably upload it, i aint even mad =)

But it was eye opening to fight an actual good Akuma player for once

lol

I’ve played most of them except for ravelt, arthneji, abareable, and warmachine and the list seems legit.

I can not be the only one who finds this hilarious lolz

It’s as funny as watching Adult Swim shows nonstop for hours. This is how this clown is to anyone who has lurked GGPO for more than couple of hours.

I’ve been playing 3S since like mid 2000’s (or even earlier,) yet online I get constantly spanked by scrubs and basic lag shennigens.
I can’t tech throws, can’t parry, can’t block cross ups, can’t hit confirm for shit (even playing as Chun,) can’t do basic bnb’s, can’t read, play mind games or mixup.
It’s just an entirely different ballpark.

Playing on PSN, 90% are scrubs and the remaining 10% are either good or great players.

Good players I’ve faced:
Cruise
Duralath
Wuziq
Mr. Roboto
Plus a few others, and despite lag galore, some Japanese players I’ve played are amazing.

My PSN user: odman22

I just get absolutely frustrated losing to obvious things that I see coming, yet can’t do shit aboot.
Godamnit.
Sometimes, I’m just like fuck it; chuck my stick real hard to the ground (it’s in terrible condition now,) and go masturbate to some hot porn (joking, or am I?)
Fuck 3SOE.

here’s a fun game you can play:

if someone automatically readies as soon as the matchup screen shows up in ranked, and never unreadies even if the connection turns out red, try and guess what character they will pick.

(protip: if you guess Akuma you will be right 90% of the time)
