no problems on ps3 or friends 360. using te, pad and a hori fs3. i dont use the 3 button shortcut ever, so dont know if that has anything to dow ith your problems.
Occasionally I’ll screw them up, but I’ve got it chalked up to user error as the 3P/3K buttons seem to work fine. I just assumed the inputs were a bit strict.
after playing more, im like 99% sure there is no problem with ex moves at all. but online does drop inputs, and sometimes i miss ex there.
Do charged hayates in lag and they will randomly release
I’ve actually had dropped inputs result in EX moves and even charged moves not even come out when they should. I don’t think it would be a matter of stick though, but I’m using the TE, I think it has more to do with GGPO just throwing away inputs during lag spikes.
No problems with EX on my end. I’ve tried on custom sticks and Madcatz etc. They need to be pressed in unison or nothing will come out. In SF4 you can lightly graze the controller or do a quick plink and you will get EX. 3S is a little bit stricter.

It’s not impossible or even difficult – people have been playing SF2/SF3 without macros since both games have been released on console. You’re welcome to use them but there’s no reason to say silly things like that.
TBH I feel like 3s just drops inputs on EXes occassionally, DC/Playstation 2 ports and the new ports.
It feel to me that EXes are dropped very sparingly but I’m always afraid that the one time I really need Stand Roundhouse xx EX MGB its going to drop so far it has only dropped in training mode and online though so I haven’t had a reason to rip my stick out of the xbox and scream obscenities.
My EX’s often don’t come out on PS3 with my custom stick but I assume that is just because I am playing online. I have not had EX issues offline.
