JTM placed 18th in DR.
How do you get 18th in a double elimination bracket? I thought that 17 through 24 are all ranked equally. To be eliminated in that tier is usually referred to as either tied for 17th, or top 24. Did they have that group play further to determine lower level placement?
Tokido is currently playing Ohnuki in 3s. Only 2 Japanese players in the top 8, and we make them eliminate each other so that Americans don’t have to do the work. Brilliant!
You guys did awsome! Period. Hands Down.
Results for everything except for SSBM and MvC2 are up in the first post. I’m not-so-secretly hoping that East Coast takes top 4 in MvC2. If so, it’ll serve as more motivation for Seattle players to train and attend next year. Seems like infighting has picked apart the Cali scene. Hopefully, such sentiments doesn’t carry over to the NW.
Man, Yosuke got 3rd? The VF matches have got to be fucking savageshivers
Good Job Yosuke!
ST matches had to be pretty savage as well.
Awesome job to all the NW peeps in everything!
loling @ the infighting.

Are there really tiers in this game, is the field really balanced, or is it a random ass game? I’m being serious here. I don’t play the game, so I don’t know. But the character variety is out there.
get that Smash shit outta here, Keithgross
Never will understand the appeal of that game…
Vacation was interesting. I wish I was at Evo instead, though. Still, the random Hustler party was fun :wonder:’
Anyone know how Tao did? I heard about him deciding to go with Ryan, groundmaster, and JJJ last week, but my phone died and I didn’t have internet after tuesday in LA, so no updates from them…
I felt that it was necessary to post it out of consideration for certain individuals. The world moves at a different pace for these guys, but they still have rights. We should make every effort to make them feel included, because they’re special, special people. There’s no way I’d include the SSBM results in the first post. So it’ll remain buried here in the thread.
JWong came back from 2 down to even it up, but Yipes claimed what he almost had 2 years ago. The king is dead once more, long live the king.
gg and 3s
who was used?
who were the members on each of the top placings for gg:ac?
what was the end of wong / choi?
i left evolution at 10pm, saturday night.
IIRC Wong vs Choi went like this
Choi A2, ST
Wong MvC2, 3S, CvS2
A2 3-0 Choi
MvC2 3-0 Wong
ST 3-1 Choi
3S 3-1 Wong
CvS2 3-2 Wong
how did i know that wong was going to take all the newer games and choi the older ones?
aight, i knew wong won, thanks to j4yx2 and fishjie via text, but i wasn’t going to ask to have the results typed out.
hmm… i should have bet.
Thanks deezo
Yossan was Yossan/Gibson/?

Good shit, Marn! Oh, and I guess your teammates, too…
…
wow fanatiq beat yipes 5-0 in a big money match but barely lost 2-1 in finals, nice try fanatiq. this was yours…
Sorry, I don’t play VF (not since VF3tb) because I’m poor and can’t afford a next gen system. I simply cut 'n pasted the results from someone else’s post.
Some dude gave me MASSIVE neg rep for omitting SSBM results but including Tekken results. Thumbs up to you, guy:tup:, cuz we’re in agreement. Personally, I think MvC2 > all fighting games. I don’t play Tekken (not since Tekken 2) either, but do know a few Seattle players who qualified. Whatever the case, results for everything are now in the first post. Which brings me to the next point. . . .
I was going to edit in character selection, team members (for GG:AC), fix “Shun Di”, and some other little things, but noticed that the first post had been edited by an admin–FMJaguar. It looks like all he did was cut 'n paste the SSBM results from page 3 of this thread; since the funky coding behind each player is still there. I thought it was funny, since in the NW forums, we don’t really have any sensitive SSBM players who might have been slighted by my omission. Regardless, I’ll leave the first post as is. It’s so sexy, having one’s post mod-edited. Like I’m a counter culture activist or something.
Anthony #1Geesemaster got 13th in cvs2!!! I think that’s our best placing.
I played stupid and got pieced out early. Yay. But I think I got alot better after this trip good stuff.
