Yeah, you’re a troll alright.
OP should follow his moniker and go back to playing at the circus.

I dunno about that, I hear from an e-friend that he’s just as dumb on other boards, such as the Bethesda Forums.
Nah. Guys like G3nshiro and Playcircus aren’t trolls. Their opinions are so preposterous and farfetched that it’s almost LIKE they’re trolling. In reality, they just have shitty opinions.
What’s the difference between SF and Soul Calibur? Weapons instead of fists, the mechanics are still the same, you juggle, you memorize combos, you play through arcade mode until you get to the final boss, it’s arcadey, and over the top
Look at Def Jam: Fight for NY, no juggling, story mode with choices, character creation, simultaneous team fights, skill points, no long combos, no magic blasts, damage is shown on fighters, you don’t just wear down the health bar you have to finish with a strong attack, environments are destructible and interactive, no arcade mode, matches can last for a really long time, no rounds, characters are all real people, etc.
Look at the differences between every fighting game and Def Jam, then compare them to eachother, look at Bushido Blade, look at Ready 2 Rumble, look at Fight Night, look at the UFC games, Bio F.R.E.A.K.S., Marvel Nemesis, these games make all the games mentioned below look like the exact same game
Mortal Kombat, juggling, combos, arcade mode, arcadey, magic blasts, rounds, no skill building
Soul Calibur, juggling, combos, arcade mode, arcadey, magic blasts, rounds, no skill building
Fatal Fury, juggling, combos, arcade mode, arcadey, magic blasts, rounds, no skill building
Samurai Showdown, juggling, combos, arcade mode, arcadey, magic blasts, rounds, no skill building
Capcom vs SNK, juggling, combos, arcade mode, arcadey, magic blasts, rounds, no skill building
GG, juggling, combos, arcade mode, arcadey, magic blasts, rounds, no skill building
DOA, juggling, combos, arcade mode, arcadey, magic blasts, rounds, no skill building
Tekken, juggling, combos, arcade mode, arcadey, magic blasts, rounds, no skill building
Street Fighter, juggling, combos, arcade mode, arcadey, magic blasts, rounds, no skill building
King of Fighters, juggling, combos, arcade mode, arcadey, magic blasts, rounds, no skill building.
Did you actually just use “Def Jam” to defend your thesis?
You do realize, don’t you, that the point in a fighting game is to build your skills, not your playable character’s, right?
oh boy , no skill building, yeah right
so with you logic, we should change too the FPS, all of them play alike, and share a lot in common so they arent innovative
Lol.
Next thing you know, he’s going to bitch about the lack of skill farming.
His mantra ought to be: “I suck, therefore I grind.”
I bet he power-levels to max level in FF too.
… You completely miss the point of these types of games.
I think you wanna go play rpgs, son.
wtf is magic blasts
o and, Level up! yeah, + 1 to skill.
I want to see the next thing he can pull out of his ass, idk how he could even fit most of that stuff in there
He might surprise you.
I bet he’s been skill building his ass to take all sorts of shit.
FPS shooters are way more varied than fighting games as sad as that is, Swat 4 is nowhere near Halo
Every game is based both on player skill and character skill in some way, if you play as Chun-Li then your are limited by what she can do, she’s faster than some characters, she has different moves that allow for different tactics, but why not give the player freedom over that?
Magic blasts are any supernatural projectile attack, Scorpion’s hand spear whip, Guile’s sonic boom, notice how these are not necessary in any fighting game, Street Fighter did it then everyone else has been including them ever since, copying
Virtua Fighter has some things in common with Def Jam, you have a story mode where you build your record, you have character customization, and there are no magic blasts, see how being a little more original is fun? You take what we love about fighting games and make them console friendly, how is that changing fighting games into something else?
i dont know why but i cant stop laughing when i read this
so basically you are a storyfag  , if you want a good story go and read a book then, and dont come with that the fps have more variety than the fighting games, thats bullshit
Do you even play fighting games? Seriously, I think you haven’t even played any of the fighting games you talk about besides Virtua Fighter 4 and Def Jam, and you probably only play story mode.
1- Virtua Fighter character customization only changes the dudes clothes
2- Method Man and Snoop Dogg arent real life fighters, CALL THE REALISM POLICE
3- Skill points are for RPGs
I dont even know why im posting this. Got baited, trolled, etc
OP, please stop posting and continue playing Smackdown vs RAW 2009 alone.
(Wheres SK to drop the banhammer?)
Are you serious? Are you fuckin’ serious?!
And you go off how other fighters are not different? Yeah, ok.
Seriously, this guy is a troll, hands down.
troll status.
nothing to see here folks.
Pretty much every game is using skill building, sports games, you train to increase your stats, Grand Theft Auto, you train to increase your stats, racing games, you buy better parts for your car, adventure games, you gain skills and abilities, even in FPS games you get new guns and stuff, why do I have no control in fighting games, I’m limited by canned animations, it’s like electronic Simon Says, I just try to memorize
Swat 4 is way different than Halo, Swat is slow and you don’t have to fire one bullet, Halo is fast and you have to keep shooting, Halo you kill people, Swat you arrest people, Swat is realistic, Halo is unrealistic, in Swat one bullet can kill you, in Halo you have a health meter, you guys have been playing the same game for so long you don’t even know what it means to be original
Anybody want to try and tell me how Soul Calibur is vastly different from Street Fighter?
Instant kills.
