Southwest team without Texas would be a big mistake IMO
and qualifiers through X Box live would be dumb too

Texas should not complain about traveling. We probably have some of the top Blazblue players in the US in the South, and they have to go to Texas for SBO quals. Can’t whine about it. Gotta deal with what cards you are dealt with.
big mistake? you mean for them not to show and qualify? they have the choice of coming to devastation, to qualify. It’s up to texas if they want to go and qualify. Don’t just automatically assume texas is the best in the southwest, which is why we need to do a tourney. this region is largely unknown

you can’t really compare this event with sbo. in the past i’ve gone to qual’s at tga and nickel city without thinking twice.
anyway, best of luck to our noble, fearless team captain. it’s not in my budget to travel to two west coast tournaments for two consecutive months. i’ll be cheering for team southwest at evo.
Pretty sure in order to participate on Valle’s team you must wear a wife beater during the matches. If not, then it damn well should be like that.
Man, why couldn’t Texas just get it’s own team instead? Seems a lot more fair imo. Yes, I’ll travel 18 hours to win a spot so that then I can travel again even longer to play. Arizona and Texas are too far apart, it’s almost as if they are just trying to not include us.
and what makes texas so special again? so i guess texas would be more fair for you right? oh wait, now you make it a further drive for other people as well. people have to drive far in other regions too, not just texas, don’t front and act like you are the only ones that have to travel. I’m sure you (as well as others) are already thinking im picking devastation cuz its in arizona and im also located in arizona. Too bad it has no bearing on why i made this decision. Between now, and evo, it is the ONLY big event in this region. It is a big time no brainer.
you either come and qualify, or you don’t. it’s as simple as that. Sorry if you feel like texas is purposely getting shitted on, but it isnt. I dunno why people always think some stupid conspiracy is going on.

Well yeah, it’s pretty cool that you are throwing a tourny for the quals. It would indeed be a good idea to throw it at evo either way.
But, anyways… One question just arose.
What if within the top 5 of the qual there’s… say… 2 sagats? or just repeat characters? Since a team can’t have the same characters, how would that be resolved?
cuz we never travel in the first place, this obviously wont change anything!

What would format be? Tournament A winner gets spot than you hold Tournament B where Tournament A’s winning character was banned, rinse repeat till 5 people have spots? Or Just take the top 5 different characters from 1 tournament?
