Vangief has some serious tools and quick reaction time. Plus, his mecha armor makes him look mad unhinged.
Crazy Russian FTW!

I’d like to add about the stream…
It’s been great here in the Midwest (Toledo,OH/Detroit area) with good quality video and decent stream up-time. I know there have been quite a few qualms about stickam, but it is doing well for me.
The stream improved for me after I went to the stream someone here linked to (It was the dropbox one). Hopefully I can get the same results today and tomorrow.
Be a really cool guy and mirror the stream for the less fortunate people.
Is there a particular reason why so many of the top Asian players are not attending EVO this year? Wasn’t that the case last year, where only Poongkoo and Daigo showed up?
If you tell me how I can do that, I wouldn’t mind helping out the forums.
seriously wtf this seems like such a simple thing to do. results must be written and recorded down somewhere right? why not just have someone upload it online

Wrong. Poongko didn’t show up last year either.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but the last time Poon played outside of Korea competitively was at that Gamestop Tournament? He lost pretty badly to Daigo and Jwong that day and looked pretty gutted. I wonder if that put him off ever going to Evo or the like again. Shame as he genuinely is a unique and fearless player, so good for neutrals to watch.
Momochi chose to attend the Battle Medley Singapore event this weekend rather then evo.
No idea why Mago chose not to compete.
does anyone know anything about the salty suite?
i couldnt get any sleep because i was too excited about it.
I stand corrected, you’re absolutely right about Poongko not showing up last year; I do remember there being talk about him possibly showing up when his Ryu began making waves. It ended up being Daigo and his cohort. Either way, Mago would have been great to watch. EVO feels like a plasticine competition without a proper showing from Asian players.
They really don’t.
Asia(people from the actual continent) is well represented in this tourney. We have 3 Japanese, 2 Koreans, and 2 Singaporeans. I know people still aren’t too thrilled because of the lack od more top Japanese players, but it’s a lot better then last year when Daigo was the only recognizable player from Asia(his buddy Dan was relatively unknown to most people).
Well it’s been a pretty decent international spread this year at least, off hand we still have in the semi finals:
Eita
Gamerbee
Tokido
Infiltration
and Daigo obviously
Been a load in the pool matches, Laugh, Neo. Also that French girl AAA Kayne (best female player according to Daigo)
results would be nice to see. A live stream with no results posted anywhere to speak of seems silly.

It really is exciting to see the results in this thread. I’m looking forward to seeing the live stream for today’s matches. I’m glad that the usual suspects are there, but it would be nice to see some other player take it. A tier list would also be a nice result from this tournament. Everyone abhors tier lists, but they are fun in a way. Has there been any update on games still in the works such as KOF 13?
So the only new cast member in the semi’s is Adon and a back up juri? Isn’t that interesting?
yay for 7 out of 1700. in a WORLD FINALS!!! Finals of what? Some near meaningless qualifier since the “top players” would have been separated in the brackets anyway? You can even tell how the brackets kept changing after the final one was made if you followed the check-in thread.
Why are you acting like on every thread?
