Now that I’ve seen what some bronies will pay for merchandise ($10,000 for a floormat), there’s no chance for the rest of the games.
From what I have seen of the game, it’s very good. I wish one of these kart games would make it to EVO.
How were the entries for SSBB in EVO 2008? Was the community involved? People really beating up on the Smash players.
Also, I can see DOA5 being one of those games that its own company will donate for, maybe even putting up a pot bonus for the game if it makes it.
I would like Marvel 2 or CVS2 to win btw. Those 2 and Alpha 3 were my personal favs when I was younger.
There was this one pre-release tournament at a pony con, streamed by Jaxel I think
That version had 5 of the 6 main characters of version 1.0 (but Rainbow Dash is somewhat incomplete)
But that’s pretty much it for tournaments. There is a leaked very early build, that some people have been playing too.
But really, that’s more than some of the other game on the list, so… :looney:

Seriously though, you don’t have to feel as if this could be potentially dangerous to not only Evo, but this website as well, but you sure as hell have to come to the realization that this won’t help gather mainstream support of sponsors to the Fgc when you let all these niche fan buying their way into a tournament. That could be a slot used to promote a game that will actually attract sponsors, not scare them away. Then again who am I to say how this shit works, I don’t run evo, and at this pace, will never have a desire to attend one.
The Mane6 developers stated in the FAQ that they are confident that MLP:FiM will be released before EVO if the game wins the 8th spot.

If a shitty game wins the poll, I just hope it won’t be streamed or even on any stage.
This dude doesn’t even know his own community. I’m sure most of the donations are people wanting to troll and make people angry or spergs who want to see their favorite pony at a big event
Good on all of this going to charity at least, otherwise these ‘VOTE YOUR GAME INTO EVO’ polls are a giant clusterfuck of people being angry at each other for the fact that the other game has an actual bloody community to be voting for / with in the first place.
Take it from the guy who spent an entire week campaigning for Melty 3 years ago. I don’t even think we have 1,200 in our community globally but the votes said otherwise. Here’s hoping MLP gets in. It would be amazingly delicious to see happen.
