also, again, WHY would you play with dipswitches on?? It just enables retarded shit and fucks the A3 characters? Just leave them off, and you can do crouch cancels and all the good shit.
HSFA does NOT default to A3-Upper. Crouch cancels are there, VC’s work, etc. It’s just that pre-A3 characters seem to have different hitboxes or something… You have to modify some VCs to get them to work against pre-A3 characters.
If someone can tell me a benefit of messing around with dipswitches, please do. But, as far as I can tell, you’re just openning a can of worms (a big fight about which ones you turn on, etc) if you do. All I know is, if you turn them ALL on, you FUCK the A3 characters.
The only one I can think of is the one for the invincibility thing I mentioned above, but I don’t even know if that is in VS yet.
I think the dipswitch settings should be on. I mean when most games are played arent the most BS versions of them played? Personaly I only know what 2 of the dip switch settings do…that one invincable tech throw bug and the one that allows characters to gain more dizzy while there dizzy so basicly its totaly impossible to redizzy which is dum…
Why not say what DOES work when dipswitchs arent on? What do the alpha 3 characters get that they couldnt do before with them on?
As for guy stuff, yea it works with basicly every character in the game acctualy, ryu etc etc can now combo after there throws weather or not the opponent techs or not. Though some characters can acctuayl be punished if you tech there throws shrug… Games just wack on them I guess.

When you take 5 games each with 5 top tier characters and combine them all, half of those charachters won’t be top because you just can’t have 25 top tier characters. How many modes are there, each with 2-3 top/high characters? It will probably boil down to 2-3 modes, 4-5 characters between them being top, and a high mid of about 10 from various modes. Looks kinda like cvs2, only you won’t need to worry about having to pick a third crappy character when there are only 2 good characters from (insert random color here)-ism.
