And as others have said, the typical policies of most sports are to randomly test some people and possibly medalists and that costs a ton of money already.
And while I agree that we are far from needed drug testing at EVO, it’s easy to say “let people live their lives” until you lose grand finals to someone who sought an unfair advantage. But until the day Daigo loses to some random guy who comes out of nowhere and is clearly tweaked out of his mind, which I find extremely unlikely, I’m not too worried about it.

For the non-believers, I’ve seen first-hand of a tournament winning player getting a boost from prescription stimulant drugs. Not going to go in detail here.
The question is if its legal and if not how do you manage it? I don’t think fighting game tournament are that serious for drug testing.

I thought people at tourneys smell bad already? A drug test before every match would only make it smell worse since some people don’t wash their damn hands. Though I wonder if people smell bad intentionally, like to throw off their opponent or something. I think showers should be mandatory to make it fair for the rest of humanity.
Okay first thong it would be illegal to without a signed consent on entry and every entry would be submitted to take one… and some of us have adhd and have to naturally take it… who cares if we share it with our friends?
Also we have to lot of foreign players whos laws are different Nd allow them to take such drugs. Now even if they didn’t do them in the USA it would still show up in a drug test…
Also 89.5% of the piss test will come back with weed…
