I hope KoF comes back, it had the numbers and the hype this year so I dont see why not…
AE/UMVC3/TTT2 are shoe-ins for sure, InJustice will probably replace MK9, and there’s the wild card which one of SFxT, P4A, BBCP (thought i doubt it’ll be out in time) and PS-allstars.
Thats assuming there’s 6 games though, if not its probably AE/Umvc3/TTT2/injustice/KoF or P4A…
plz no PS-all stars or SFxT… idk how much better the patch is gonna make it but its Capcom so I dont have any faith in the game or the patch >__>
The more I think about it, the more I wouldn’t mind Injustice replacing MK this year. Attention to it seems to be waning a bit, and part of me doesn’t think it’s that exciting to see another potential Perfect Legend sweep. Injustice could be a nice change of pace, and seeing a DC game alongside MAHVEL BAYBEE for the first time is a neat idea, as far as I’m concerned.

If there’s a 6th game it’s a total Wildcard spot - it might be whichever doesn’t get the 5th out of KOF XIII/P4A, if they actually follow the poll it’s Melee, if they decide they hate us it’s SFxT, if they want another 3D fighter it’s between SC5 and DoA5… (SC5>>>>>>DoA5). Heck BlazBlue/Guilty Gear even have a shot, though I doubt it. Personally I’m hoping Persona actually gets a spot because I could grind out the hours practicing that without putting my controller through a wall like Street Fighter makes me want to do. And I’d love it if Soul Calibur got a spot somehow but I doubt it’ll happen.
Personally, I think KOF deserves at least another year. I wouldn’t mind seeing Persona either since I’m enjoying that game way too much.
Marvel is a given, same for AE (For better or worse… I’ve been getting burned out from AE though, I’m starting to lose interest in the game…I feel like it needs a complete overhaul, but that’s just me), then a 3D game is a given too (TTT2 deserves the spot)
Injustice might be too new but it’s either that or MK9 (Hopefully it’s not MK9, it’s time to move on)
I think there is a toss up between PSA4 and some other games. Im not sure about sfxt i want to see how well it does in ipl and Marvel and AE is always a given.

Nope. You wont believe me now, But those two games are likely to have an appearance in EVO2013.
Not so much DOA, however, very likely for SC5.
IDK about TTT2 yet. Hopefully it goes up, but its plans for EVO are dark to me atm.

However, I was only merely stating my opinion of games that will show up in EVO2013. And even you have to admit that these games are “most likely” to show up in the next EVO.
Nothing is set in stone, however…
Other than AE2012 and UMvC3, nothing else is really “most likely”. But if there’s going to be a 3D Fighter at EVO Tekken, Namco’s flagship fighter, would be the “most likely” candidate over its lesser franchise SC, and a notoriously mocked franchise in DOA. Without new reasoning to overrule that, there’s really no reason to state the possibility of anything else happening on that front.

I believe most of these are a given, but I wouldn’t be surprised if PSAS made a surprise debut. It seems like Sony tried to avoid many of the things that make SSBB tournaments complicated.
IF SC5 made it I would be extremely shocked, but very happy.

Turnout for SC5 at NEC was pretty good, 70+ IIRC. No idea if they’ll be able to get those numbers in other majors but I don’t think it’s as shocking as you think to see SC5 in EVO2013.
Marvel and AE are in for sure. 99% sure Tekken is in. If it doesn’t I’d be very shocked. That leaves us with 2 or 3 games depending on how big they decided to make EVO. In the pool so far we have:
PSABR - This is by far the most likely. In this case, it doesn’t really matter if people like it or not. How long did you see an add for PSABR every single fucking time you went on this site? Red flag right there.
P4A - very solid contender. NEC had an amazing turnout of 156 entrants which is absolutely absurd. Also, Winter Brawl will be huge for it because the entry is free. This will further show that anime is getting the love it needs and they go to the tournaments that provide for them well. St1ckbug (at least thats who I was told did it), flew out some japanese players for NEC and people showed for that shit because of it. Im sure that at least SOME Japanese players would come for P4A if it was in EVO and that’s by far the most boner inducing thing to an anime player
MK9 - This is kinda doubtful IMO. I think most of the reason why it’s going to lose out is because there is a new game coming out and it’s already been in there for a while. Not the best logic I’ll admit but at least to me that makes sense.
Injustice - If it’s out by the time EVO comes around, it’s highly likely to be there. It all depends on how the game is received by the community it atracts.
SC5 - This is my main game and my pride and joy. Unfortunately, I feel that the chances of this making it back in are slim to none. Generally low turnouts at most tournaments but NEC managed to gather 72 heads for SC5 which was amazing. The announcement will probably be made before the next major (which I believe is Apex) and if large numbers would make the lasting impression on what games get in and which games don’t, I don’t think one good turnout can get it on the list. Also, rumor has it that the Japanese are coming to Final Round for Soul Calibur. Totally unrelated but thats fucking awesome.
DOA5 - Personally I see it as unlikely for some reason. Don’t know why. I just personally can’t imagine it. If it gets in then I’m and idiot lol.
BBCP - Super unlikely seeing as BlazBlue always gets shafted
