We have accurate frame data, and consistent hitboxes, and usually 6 or more different characters every major top 8. MK may not be the most balanced game out there, but it put on a hell of a good show.
I don’t actually consider a move being plus/negative/zero depending on the blocking situation to be true accurate frame data. Unless NRS fixed something they even admitted they couldn’t fix without remaking the engine.
Well we have a guy who is painstakingly determining the frame data down to exacts now, so must have been fixed.
It has no definitive release date and the game has been delayed enough as it is. You expect the game to make it when “early 2012” is all we have to go on?
lol Anime Fighter fans. BB is ass.
I don’t know why SG wasn’t in. MK was announced before that game came out.
WTF!! SFxT? Sponsors putting us on notice. Stay Salty SRK.
Skullgirls isn’t in because we’re trying to get this community going places, a game made for mouthbreathing weeaboos just makes the community look bad.
You just seem really fucking salty for no real reason aside from "ohnoez a game I don’t like was put in"
Also, keep in mind, they said skullgirls would be out by end of '11. Guess what? Didn’t happen. It may get pushed back again. Who knows? And like I said, The EVO staff is a lot more in the know when it comes to this stuff than any other person on SRK will ever be aside from the devs who actually take the time to cater to you whiney fucks.
Also, isn’t skullgirls initial roster only like 8 characters? That’s really fucking boring. Even if a dlc character or characters came out before evo they wouldn’t be legal, just like the MK9 dlc characters weren’t legal even though they were out before EVO.
MK9 is where its at because its a great game with a strong following whether you want to appreciate that or not is your problem.
I’m sure he’s multicolor font postgasming everywhere.
The KOFspiricy is finally over.
Maybe now he’ll finally shut the fuck up.
Speaking of conspiracy, what I think must change for this Evo is switching from PS3 to xbox.
2 frames.
Yeah, I totally know what you mean. I have no idea what some people were thinking. Hell, I don’t even really know what some people see in the game as it just looks average to me. BBCSX not being in is kind of robbing and a bit of a travesty though.
Wizard said it’ll be PS3 until the next gen of consoles.
I’ve got no problem with it being PS3, really. Besides, we don’t want red rings going down in the middle of a match. That, and well, the typical “tournament standard” versions of games like MK9, KOFXIII, and the Tekken games are PS3 anyway.
Lame. That really sucks.
I have both PS3 and xbox, and enjoy matches way more on xbox because of the fast response. Playing on PS3 feels like an online match, I notice those 2 frames a lot.
This is mentioned every year. It will not happen. Sony is a sponsor and buying new hardware would be a waste of money. Get over it.
Also, that’s not a conspiracy. Learn the meaning of a word before you use it.
This is a post from a sound and intelligent individual. You can’t have a game at a tourney with only 8 characters and no sign of a release date in sight. It just isn’t feasible. And yes, MK9 is a solid game with a strong following, and it’s great to have it onboard.
As much as having SFxT on the EVO lineup over Skullgirls sounds weird, due to the latter having less skepticism than the former due to lolgems, you can’t deny that if you put Street Fighter and Tekken together in one big fighting game, then you’ll have a mob of mindless people playing and hyping it up no matter how bad the game may… or will be. Sad in the case of Skullgirls, but it’s true.
Also congrats to the MK community for having their game announced again.
As for BB not making it. There was a thread on Dustloop about one user complaining, and frankly, I’m a bit disappointed in what I’ve read. You would think a niche following of ArcSys fighters (when compared to Capcom) would show a little bit more class and modesty when they announced that their game didn’t make it. Sure it’s disappointing, but that should be a wakeup call for all of us to support our local scenes, make it to majors, and especially have a big side tournament at EVO to show that the BB community does deserve their spot in the EVO lineup again.
In fact, I’m a bit disappointed in the FGC in general, especially after reading the chat during the stream last night. Why the hell must we put down other fighting games and troll people when their game didn’t make it? Must we really be that divided? smh. :shake:

Best post in the dustloop thread.
RRODs don’t happen at random. They happen after a very discernible amount of performance loss on the console.
The fact that this is an excuse for PS3 to me is baffling. I mean, I admit that 360s tend to break more often than PS3s, although the 360 seems to be pretty much completely fixed since they changed motherboards a few years ago. You’re going to NOTICE that a RROD will happen soon. The console runs like total garbage beforehand which anyone can notice.
Both consoles do have some faults, but please, please stop thinking a 360 will RROD in the middle of a tournament match without some sort of hint.

That’s 13 characters. And you have a couple of jokers playing your Megaman, Guile, Jill, Ruby Heart, Cammy etc and having some degree of success with them.
