YES!
(not @ NickGuy)
The only thing that worries me is july 4th travelling prices for those of us flying in.
Hope so.
I’m gonna have to save like mad this time…
Every year I keep telling myself to go to Evo… This time I really mean IT!!!
One question, when will the games be announced? I’m not making any plans until I’m sure there’s something I want to play there, and I won’t be wanting to play any Capcom games.
im putting in for the time off tomorrow.
Already booked my room! Get hype!!
Hey guys! Can’t wait for Evo 2k12, I’m doing my darnest to go to my first Evo ever.
I’ve been seeing a lot of people talk about the July 4th prices and whatnot, since I don’t live in the US can someone tell me how much of a difference are we talking about and does it affect hotel and food/cabs etc prices too?
I’m planning on saving around $2.5k/$3k to spend 1 week in Vegas and enjoy Evo. Keeping in mind most of the money will go to travel expenses, and a ticket to US can be very expensive here.
I was researching prices for Thursday - Sunday on that weekend at Ceasars, compared to other weekends in July. The further you got from the 4th, the less expensive it was, but I believe that from that weekend to the end of the month, the overall price difference was roughly $160 for a hotel. Assuming most people will be splitting rooms with others, on average 4 people per room, you’re looking at $40 per person. Not that bad. There shouldn’t be too much complaints about he time, there may be some more people in Vegas than normal, but it’s not the end of the world. I had the numbers down, but I seemed to have lost them. Too lazy to pull them back up.
Generally food, cabs, etc. all of that aren’t more expensive for holiday weekends if I’m not mistaken. I usually go out in July to visit family, and I don’t normally notice a difference compared to other times I’m there.
So what we’re looking at is more people in Vegas, and more crowded tables for gambling. The second of which I’m more concerned about.
Evo usually get discounts on rooms at the event…so don’t worry too much about it until they announce the discount group rates.
hello thought u could ask this in this section but i want to make my event a EVO QUALIFIERS for 2012 and i wanted to know in what section should i send my event info at i hope somebody can help me with this.
and thanks for you time
PM MrWizard, inkblot, or Ponder…
An important part I left out! There’s really no need to worry.
Hey i plan on going to evo for 2012, and i was wondering if people actually share rooms with random people? it seems like it’s going to be expensive for me this year especially since none of my friends are gonna go. so if anyone has info on sharing rooms, message me please.
you can also message me on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001528734156
About the discount.
On the EVO2k site there’s already a “book your room” option. The discount is already out or those are raw rates?
The discount is live on www.evo2k.com. There are several options for your group incase you want to upgrade.
I checked rates using both the hotel link on the evo2k site and from the regular hotel website, using the same check-in and check-out dates (plus taxes) and the rates using the regular Hotel Website were actually cheaper than the ones I got using the Ceasars “Book a Hotel Room”, almost 200 USD of diference actually.
That’s why I asked if the discount is already up. I’m doing something wrong or something?
The promotion code is automaticly used when I go trough the Ceasars link on the evo2k link?
What’s the evo promotion code for the hotel?
Sorry for all the questions, I’m tryin to make plans way ahead of time cause of the flight rates from Brazil. Thanks for your attention
picking a random day, i looked up thursday-monday classic room, and the difference is 100 dollars.
where are you looking?
