Well it looks like I would be going for sidebets and mms then cause I really dont want to enter knowing its not dc perfect. I will run marvel dc version side event tournament if they would like just to keep the community alive. If not, I will just put full force and faith in seasons beatings:sad:

team battles can be hype with the ocv’s and shit, but i wouldnt recommend that big time waster to be a main tourney for evo 2k10. the actual lineup you have is good. the bold is the stupidest shit ive seen in two days. please shut the fuck up with that bullshit. nobody important will enter? lol! what a clown. remove your weak ass from srk now, and anyone who agrees to that bullshit should get the fuck out with him. but this thread isnt about why youre such a dick rider that you need to have big names in top 8 to be interested. god, lemme simmer down. i have no idea why the idiots of this community make me so frustrated. its just games, and hes just a idiot, jimmy. calm down.

^ I so agree. At first I was mass shep like the rest and thought, “Why try so hard to push SF4/SSF4” then I decided to think for myself and rembmered SB4 and how crazy hype team Diago was. Two so so players and Diago. Diago faught all the great player through the team tourney. I know that had to set up some kind of MM’s that we did not see, I think Vegita-X took him down also.
That was hyp and all of us know it. Just do the teams tourney on the first day so it builds hype ass matches. Fuck it, do it how ever you want to but please have SF4/SSf4 teams as it is hella hype!!

seriously it seems like most people just say “blazblue” out of obligation. Does anyone reaaaaaly care about the game still? Or 6-7 months down the road?
It still draws well at majors for whatever reason; about 80 entered during SB4 and 55 entered at NECX. I have no idea what will happen as more and more players in America move over to BB:CS, though. I suspect it’ll be a similar situation to the early GGXX tournaments at Evo, which is just going to suck.
There’s two issues with MBAA at Evo, in my opinion:

The community can be inconsistent. The game outdrew everything but SF4 and Tekken 6 at NECX, but wasn’t even run at SB4. Huh? Granted, there is some geographic bias there, but MBAC at Evo 2007 drew about 65 players (more than VF5) – and the community has grown a fair bit since then.

Politics. In a neutral situation the game is probably worth a shot, but between some of the organizers having some very negative opinions of the game (right, wrong or otherwise) and publishers of other fighting games pushing to have their games included (while MBAA will never be published in America) does not help one bit.

I don’t give up on games that I like, and Blazblue has a legitimate following. Just because no one knocks down your door asking to play Blazblue doesn’t mean the game has fallen off the face of the earth.

Real talk, BB:CS is the only hope that game has of making it, Evo might have to pull some strings and talk to Aksys about it.

I think you’re there at the wrong time. It was getting loads of action last week during that SFIV 3 vs. 3. More people were playing TvC than T6 (but, then again, FFA really isn’t the place for Tekken anyways). And I also had a console setup going.
Even if it doesn’t end up in main 6, I am already committed to running something for this game at EVO 2K10 regardless. Capcom’s efforts will not be in vain.

reminder: they kept GGXX in 04 even though #reload had been out on console for awhile, it took some major community teeth-pulling to make them run slash at all, and it took yet more major community teeth-pulling to make them switch to AC the next year.
the major issue with that is money obviously. they would also keep saying how import games shut out casual players; that was a pretty laffo argument back then, but would actually be a good point nowadays since evo is drawing in the casual audience.
so yeah, MBAA is fucked and i think BBCT gets in by default =/
edit: just saw ink’s post…“less hype than expected” definitely = 3s and GG, “more hype than expected” = marvel + maybe SC4?
sc4s already dead. blazblue isn’t dead but i think people got turned off of that game very quickly. i’m not say that the game is bad but the fact is it’s not doing as well down the line as I thought it was going to. I forgot all about about the publisher support for BB at evo so afterall you are probably right and see it back at the next one. HDR doesn’t get big numbers either (20-30 at NEC, and just flat out canceled at other majors) it is almost like a side game at this point but I wouldn’t be surprised to see it back at EVO this year especially considering they are done with DreamCast.
SC4 may be weak, but it’s not exactly dead… It was at NECX. And there’s some big thing going down in France in March I think? It’s got solo, 5v5 and a special 5v5 exhibition with nationality based teams, apparently.
Personally I think the games referred to as “more hype than expected” are SC4 and Marvel. Based on this, I think SC4 has a good chance for Evo2k10 (even though that might be the last time)
imo Evo should have a yearly “Blast from the past” tourney highlighting games that great tournament scenes in their day like SFA2-3 etc.
But aside from that the shoo-ins seem to be SSF4, T6, and HDR. games like BBCS and TvC are big maybes too.

ST classic or HD- gotta stick to originals
MBAA- good turnout at NEC (most than any other game outside of SF4,and T6)
BB- always does good in majors… not matter how it works… it delivers as far as majors…
SC4- international comp is always hype
if MBAA gets good turnouts at FR, i believe this game is most deserving of the reward… reason it got shafted at SB4 is becuase it was on friday… AT 8pm…peopl are kinda still arriving… i think 60+ at NEC? and i wouldn’t be suprise in the same results at FR… so i say they should give it a real shot… cuse it does get pretty hype at EVO side tourneys
and as far as BB- where in the world to people say it’s dead… the only reason is gonna be possibly dead is becuase new version is coming… .but as far as tourneys it’s still doing strong… every major it gets more than GG, 3s and it was fourth biggest at NEC… now will it happen at FR … i don’t know… but i know every major so far this year it’s done pretty well… and only reigon i know of that it’s relatively dead at is WC, EC has been strong with it…so has the south and MW areas
SC4- people may shun this game… but given the best credintials of having international play is pretty stunning… personally i hate the hilde bs of the the game… but it does attract pretty well
HD remix- honestly i would rather have classic… .but that’s just me… but you have to go to roots with this one… it’s just a given…
T6- this may be the best game to rival SF4’s numbers… honestly i think it’s more fun to watch than sf4…but i don’t forsee any problems in it’s coming to evo
sf4- of course… this generates the biggest numbers… why wouldn’t you do it… honestly i think it should be teams… as there is so many fucking people that enter this tourney…
