Use the shortest range attack you’re in range for, basically. If c.lp will touch them, use it. If it won’t, c.mp or s.mp. Don’t forget, though, one of the best ways to push someone out is to just block their attacks.
I’m relatively new to stick. Do most people here plink with all 3 punch buttons for the link? I only sometimes get it with 2, 3 is just too much going on for me so far. I don’t know if close s.mp after LK Axe Kick FADC is any easier or even worthwhile compared to c.lp s.hp link though.
after then LK axe kick FADC for cr.lp do not need plink, the st.hp require plinking. the cr.lp got tons of time to land it…its only the st.hp is require. plink st.hp only need to push MP and HP button. Do not need 3 of them.
please tell me the truth…evil ryu cant play rushdown? he can only footsies to get close?? no matter what ryu is faster then evil ryu? im stuck at 3k pp players where they just spam lp/lk follow by cr mk or cr hk(sweep). no way to react other than backdash and block? is evil ryu really this slow or i miss something other than DP lol.
@PYJuN
Because the answer is already in your question.
All you do in this forum is creating topics with the same stupid question, which everybody has already commented on. Not taking the advice and complain that those ‘‘are only for the better player’s which you not are’’. Then start bitching on other peoples topics that they will not get a straight answer other than footsie and AA. You are disrespecting everyone that has taken the time to reply to your questions, but insist on asking something along the same line 5 minutes later.
You make these stupid comments like vega, balrog and gouken beat e.ryu so hard its not even fair blablabla, I’m constantly defending blablabla, I don’t know what to do blablabla, this game sucks blablabla, I can’t get a free win blablabla, my normals are so slow blablabla.
Grow the fuck up, stop complaining. If you can’t do that, you seriously need to question yourself ‘‘is this game for me’’? Otherwise excuse yourself from this forum.
look like the one who need to grow up is you uneducated kid. its funny how some ppl tell me to ask ppl about certain match up and got fuck in forum. online really full of shitty fucks like you.
im not a shitty fucks like you who quit the game because ‘oh i cant win so i quit’. this is just a game and i want to enjoy and hopefully improve to get better.
so if you not going to help new players just shut the fuck up. one more thing fuck head like you please dont ‘edit’ other ppl ‘quotes’ who blablabla? did you get too much shit in your fuck shit brain that you cant read other ppl post properly?
Would have to assume it was -2 or something, wouldn’t we? Would need to go back to 2012 and see if 3 frame Shoryuken punishes Evil Ryu after FADC. I would try it, but I’m not at my desktop as I’m typing this so I’ll have to test later.
It’s hard to find actual frame data regarding advantage on Focus Attacks/ FADC.
Everybody needs to slow it down. I know that somebody has been making threads asking questions we already have threads for, deleting them and/ or complaining about the responses, but calling him a scrub isn’t going to chase him off, just make him angrier. This guy seems pretty new to the game, given that he has a lot of trouble with charge characters, which are complete bastards if you don’t know how to fight them. And I also get that watching top players can be difficult for new players, because those guys have over a decade of experience with footsies, reactions, zoning. A new player can’t rely on “Wait for a mistake then punish with a sick 400 damage axe kick loop,” so they might feel like they can’t learn anything useful against random low-level players by watching that. I know I have a pretty crappy time playing Yun online, because online players aren’t afraid of him, they just see him coming and immediately go for the reversals. But you can certainly still learn plenty by watching those players.
If you’re being pressured in close range, you’ve got a 3-frame jab to interrupt sloppy block strings, and you’ve got a good backdash. If you have the right read, SRK that ish.
As for how to pressure on your own, Cr. Jab and Cr. Strong have good frame advantage. Mix them in with grabs, lows, and overheads to keep your opponent guessing. Most importantly, learn how to hit confirm from these moves. For example, Cr. Forward XX Hadouken FADC is a gateway to lots of combos, but you don’t want to FADC unless you know you’ve hit - otherwise you’ve just wasted meter. Learn to recognize the hit (for example go to training mode and select Random Block) and go for the full combo. And most importantly, don’t go for the full combo unless it hits!
Donfloris has a point though. We can’t teach you everything. Some things have to be learned on your own, since they won’t make sense just talking about them.
So with the 1 frame start-up buff on sweep, have we found a reliable way to combo into sweep (via a meaty setup) on most of the cast, preferably one that doesn’t require meter?
I know this could already be done on some of the cast pre-Ultra, but was hoping maybe this buff added some new ones? Has anyone explored this avenue yet?
Is there a difference between ending a corner combo with lp Shoryuken and then fierce Shoryuken, or just fierce? Damage, meter gain? It’s 2 hits either way. And do people do c.mk xx Hadouken FADC s.hp axe kick link? Since I can’t do lk axe kick FADC etc yet.
Sometimes I feel like I should be playing Akuma, but I just don’t really want to.
@PYJuN
Calm down. You have to get used to replies like that if you argue with people who try to give advice or complain too much about matchups. It’s basically tradition, so try not to be bothered too much by it. I know some advice doesn’t seem helpful, but a lot of Street Fighter is just playing the game and getting beat up in stupid ways. Don’t forget to watch your own replays, because you’ll probably be able to pick out your mistakes easily when you aren’t playing.
@PYJuN
You must be like 15/16 years old because you argue like a little child, trying to be all big by throwing the word fuck around. (takes of glasses)Dear god your even free in the real world. Your live must suck big time.
Btw please explain how I agree with me being a shitty fuck?
wow typical online shitty fuck loves calling ppl child.dont you have a brain to think who start calling ppl names etc. im just behaving how you behave fuckhead.if you talk nicely none of this shit will happen. now you trying to be a nice guys lol. thanks for entertaining me.
@PYJuN
Below are all the post I made in order to help improve your game.
21-05-2014:Try finding someone who is closer to your level. First video was a clear example that the player was just better than you. Nothing to be ashamed off ;), but he was just throwing out stuff hoping that you would press a button. Which he got away with.
My advice would be to first play original Ryu, only because as you stated are a fairly new player. Learn the fundamentals and then take what you have learned and apply that to E.Ryu. I know its not quite what you want to hear but it will help in the long run.
If you want we can spar sometime and I can help you right there and then.
PC: MrDaddySensei
I have a headset if needed. Let me know dude!
4-6-14:Its impossible to tell you what are the ways to pressure an opponent, because everybody plays different.
I want to play footsies every match but if my opponent just does random shit en keeps jumping I can’t do that. Its all about the read on your opponent.
It seems you know the fundementals and know what you need to pratice in order to get better. But what you lack is experience, this cannot be taught. It can only be learned by playing the game.
You don’t have to win every game. As long as you learn from you’re misstakes.
Try things when you get pressured to see if it works even if it means to give up on that round.
Make a deal with yourself before a match like if a miss 1 antiair I lose that game regardless of the outcome. Focusing on those aspect’s instead of winning will improve your gameplay tremendous.
Play endless instead of ranked, people play generally better and most of the time don’t do random things when there about to lose. Get that experience and you will get better, I promise you that. It just takes time, its like Hollowblade said. Fighting games take really really long to learn and experience matters alot.
If I read you’re post from above you keep asking for frametraps and what I should do to keep up the pressure. Mapleleafs791 put up a great guide providing all the info you need. I suggest you go read it, and take out the things you think will help your game. Go to training mode and start learning.
We all know what you are going through because we have all been there. Fighting games just take some time to learn before you can kick everybodies ass. Thats why there so enjoyable
Sorry for my bad grammar
19-06-14:Dude really, your gonna start spamming topics about things that where already discussed.
In your first topic people helped you understand what you need to do to improve. You clearly are not listening, because you are asking for a specific button for an automatic win. You blame everyone else except yourself. Wake up, you can’t become a good player in 2 weeks. It takes time to understand fundamentals, footsies etc.
Stop making pointless threads/topics, get off your ass and start learning the game. Find people that are better than you and ask them for endless lobby matches. Ask them politely if they now how they can improve your game.
Everything you need is already in a doc. file made by mapleleafs791. Read it and adjust your playstyle!
Lastly, stop wining and making pointless threads. Listen to what people are saying to you, instead of ignoring them.
20-06-14Now you are doing it again, drwill439 gives you some advice and you immediately discredit it. Here is a crazy thought try training mode. Watch replay’s online of pro matches, see how they move, how they create there openings. E.Ryu has a very long poke, cr.mk. Sooner or later they are going to jump, thats when you Anti-air. If people are in your face, back up and play the footsie game. Find your opening.
You say the guide won’t help you and all you can do is defend. Go for a grab in there pressure and start the cr.mk mixup (its in the guide). You can’t expect everyone to tell you what you need to do because everybody play’s different. So one thing will work on opponent a but not opponent b. If you don’t now what to do against a char go in training mode and see what you can punish.
Ask people on other forums for matches so you can get experience against the chars that you have difficulty with.
As you can see, I have tried everything to help you improve. I even gave you my gamertag to help. Instead you insist on not listening to what I have to say and try to do it on your own, with zero result. This is why I’m fed up with you, have a nice day
