Good games, dude. I think your true calling in life is ibuki, none of this “I’m tired of losing so I’m going to try another character” business.
I’m experimenting with light of justice …so far it seems pretty useful against hugo and alex.

yeah sa1 is good against any character who cant duck it, for every other character who can tho the low game remy has disappears.
since alex is so wide (hugo too) it’s alot easier to link the cl st rh into sa1, i will sometimes do meaty cl st rh against alex hoping he’ll try to ex stomp out of it but the cl st rh beat that clean on start up.
and the anti air juggle from sa1 on alex is pretty good cus the way alex falls on it, it gives plenty of time for u to do stuff after it hits, heck u can even taunt.
yea same here i use the saI on hugo and alex never SA3 I learned that when i got giga’ed =( Was not very happy when i realized it doesnt counter grabs. but yea im not doing the super after the cbk im doing the super after the RRF. cause i can normaly connecet the super after i ex RRF someone in the corner its hard in my opinion but if ya master it its quite good. Also have you noticed that ppl tend to not like remy because they dont know how to play against him? I went to the local arcade and beat a few ppl’s asses and they claimed the stick was broken and that i shouldnt have won.! I mean comeon ppl! =P Just cause they got beat by a char who has a 50% chance win rate they get up set. but hey im picking up Yun just so ppl will stfu when i play with remy. so that if i can beat them with my yun i will tell them they are not ready for my remy =P . I hate haters!
if u feel like wasting a quarter and your bored try this out
on someone blocking or getting hit…
do three crouching jabs then late cancel into a whiffed short rrf, make sure the rrf is done when the opponent is as far away as possible, from the combo it looks like u goofed and missed the last part of your combo. when u land do the blue nocturne, this only works if u whiff the rrf from the 3 crouching jabs if u hit with the rrf thats good a 4 hit combo, but if they block it u wont have enough time to recover to do the super.
too bad the recovery for that super is rediculously long, if that super was a one hit, and had an active time for like maybe 2 seconds and no recovery then it would be playable. what the fuck was capcom thinking making the super last for so damn long?!?!?! POINTLESS
Quick Remy combo I learned from Pierrot in Japan:
J.Fierce or C.Fierce (launches), CBK, dash, Flash Kick.
slick
if u dashed from the cbk and did an rrf, could u possibly do the ex version since your more underneath the falling opponent, i’m assuming your close enough to right?
please post up any other cool things Pierrot or any other remy players in japan does here. please!
It has happened to me once before and ONCE only, i was playing against Urien (comp) and i hit him with c.HP as an anti air i waited a bit and i did SA2 when he was right in front of me before he hit the ground and it hit for almost the entire super!
how many hits?
You only have to dash for a few characters.
I posted this in my “Remy for Starters” short-faq, yo. Maybe Everdred needs to go back to basics?
N
u dont need to dash, u can kara cancel the rrf with crouching strong and it will hit, the dash inbetween is just another way of getting closer for the rrf.
 basics, that’s funny.
go hide behind aegis reflectors thongboy.
Basically it hit the first 3 then he bounces and landed in perfect sink for all of the final wave so it more like 3/4 of the SA.
And that trick about baiting the Blue Nocturne off the 3 c.Jab.
works liek a charm, but only once per match and if peop0le remeber to not attack after the whiffed RRF. I did it once to a buddy of mine who liek makoto and hehehehe he was all like
"Dude that was :lame: "
Hi guys I been playing recently 3s more and so far I tested various characters like Yang, Alex and Remy even so I could go with the typical selection of picking Ken(BTW I play with him randomly sometimes and I win using almost the same tactics that I do in other ST and CvSNK2 that why I decide to get a new character) anyway I have never been a fan of charge characters so I dint expected much weirdly enougth I found Remy to be what I looked in speed, def and power.
My question is this can in someway Remy be able to be a character more offensive than a def person?
What I usaly do is that I trow weak hi LOV after that depending where my opent I trow a CBK sometimes it conect because they try to jump or didnt expect it when they star to learn the patern they decide to pray both moves or block them so they can hit me afterwards usaly I block low so if they try to run away I FK their asses. In few words most of the times I end taking the aproch of watching their weak spots instead of been more on the ofensive edge.
remy has a stronger defense game than offense game, looks like u dont know anything about this game if your playing it like cvs2 and winning. if thats the case my advice to u is to use ken and learn the game hopefully the ppl around u who play will get better by u choosing ken.
Yeah I understand Remy has more def style than offense even so I seen recently some japanese people play with Remy inrestly enougth they where playing him using more offense than def.
Plus I dont want to use Ken since what is Ryu, Akuma and Ken in 3s are to easy to use and they play repetive. Why stick with the old when u can experiment with the new stuff.
BTW great thread is Remy helpful.
Heheheh so you’d sacrifice effient winnign tactic over flashy boo rah ha play style? Thing is 3s isnt about the huge combos its whats practical and what can be done w/o putting yourself in a bad spot. Ken Ryu and Akuma play differnetly and you dont have to be repetative at all with them ( unless your Akuma ).
I played remy offensivley, the trick for me was you have to know your pressures and ranges. Where youll be at the end of a move or blokced string.
I find that economics is a big thing too in 3s when it comes ot what to do when an oppotuniry comes. Like i could do s.Jab, Strong SRK (one hit) xx SAIII
or i could just do c.Forward xx SAIII and save on dmg scaling on the super. and its easier
I liek to have fun too but i alos like win a lot more than loose and if it means goign shoto then so be it :D.
LoL! Well I play Remy defensive when is need. But I guess u are rigth even so I like having fun I also like to win
how many of u guys use remy as a serious tournament character?
close standing short tick throw into strong kara throw works, so does the roundhouse version, the close short kinda stuns the opponent in a sense and makes them miss a beat so its easier to throw them after it.
I do so far what that tactic do most of the time is parry it if I do the roundhouse is game over. The short one gets me enougth time to do a FK since most of the time they try to grab me. Thus dash in and then jumping in which usaly they parry it or try to attack me in which case I use a firce punch and later a firce fk if they decide it to parry I usaly do an ex or an jab SB with a mideum kick.
random thought, i find it wierd or is it just me that since an ex rrf has invincibility in the start up that would be the prime choice to bust out of a genie jin lock down hit string, but to account for the sped up motions of yun and i think the invincibility only works against normals and not supers that maybe the best thing to do if attempting to hit yun out of genie jin would be to do a short rrf. since the ex rrf actually comes out SLOWER than a short rrf.
on some occassions, i used remy where money was on the line. but never on tourneys since there never was a tourney here in the philippines… it’s a long story. i mostly have trouble with yun/yang since they’re such small targets and of course, chunli :bluu: hey Ev, any new tricks up your sleeves? im still stuck with mastering rapid fire zoning. i swear i’ve been charging back so much that my left tricep is now toned and shapely.
