No, that’s a link.
Sorry for not replying sooner. I know that it’s not useful but it may help me to understand how to do consecutive charge moves. I understand the concept of partitioning and am just beginning to do it consistently. As for buffering, the concept is clearer to me but more difficult in 3rd Strike. The thing that puzzles me the most is what happens after a charge move comes out. After that is it all buffering? When do you stop buffering and begin partitioning again? For example, take that double somersault (RRF). As I see it, the input is charge d/b, then u/f+K, immediately charge d/b again to buffer and then press u/f+K again. Is it that simple and just requires good timing?
In the video of remy doing rapid fire fireballs its because of overlapping charges from the first page of this thread. If you charge correctly it can make you not have to charge at all.
set this up after a thrown lov and they jump over it or just against jumps in general
simple mix up ive been using lately is jump forward jab reset land and either…
delay and see if they do anything (your not that close)
cr short into rrf
cr short into low lov
kara throw
I too recently have been air jab reseting like crazy…it works wonders.
Quick question-
Is there any advantage of using SA I over SA II and vice versa?
How much does each version of the flashkick and cbk do? I’ve always been wondering if following up with a flashkick when they’re in juggle state is the best choice, as CBK may be more damaging. I don’t have the actual game though, so I can’t figure this out myself.
sa1 has good push back and cr short super cant be punished on block
sa2 has better start up so its easier to combo into
sa1 can be ducked on the first hits, sa2 can’t be ducked
sa2 aside from combos sa2 cant be used as well for anti airs like sa1 can.
characters that duck sa1 first hits
chun (ah shit)
yun/yang (sux for you)
makoto (your boned)
oro (stunned)
ibuki (done!)
elena (cr strong super you free)
remy (why?)
so hit confirms with crouching characters listed above the super will whiff.
Fuck oro.
lol what?
d’you go to evo?
after meeting Zack’s oro in london I can do nothing but agree
Yea I went to evo and almost made it to semi’s if it weren’t for ZAK and hungbee.
It’s probably one of the most irritating matches in the game. I believe that it’s about 6-4 in Remy’s favor due to the fact that Oro can be kept out the entire game. It’s kind of like Oro vs Chun except that Remy doesn’t deal as much damage at one time, so if played right, matches will always be almost time over.
Also, since you never want oro to be near you, SAI should be the super of choice. It also gives you a safe wakeup option in the event that oro gets in on you.
Shit, that would’ve been grand if we could’ve seen Remy as a finalist…
Any vids of 2k8?
ex rrf into sa1 i presume on wake up? you were talking about this before but it’s pretty much unstoppable right?
Yeah, ex razor xx saI in a pressure situation completely resets the match. I would pick saI over saII against oro because it gives me access to that option, and the fact that you probably never want to be in close to land saII anyway.
ok i will use sa1 for oro using that. i never thought of it in that way, i felt for a while remy needed to keep him out but then that played against me using sa2 for him exclusively but using that wake up gives me a good enough reason to make that switch.
thanx for the advice
hey i started using empty buffers for cr strong into sa2… i almost got it down to a late cancel if i do it early enough for them to run into it instead of me hitting them with it. do you use this and if you do what are some ways you set up empty buffers for remy?
The other advantage of ex RRF xx SA1 on wake up is if you play against parry happy people is:
A) They might block it and just get pushed back from it giving you options.
B) They parry the first hit from EX RRF, and will usually eat the whole SA1.
Sorry about that Kyle, I’m sure you had some awesome matches. Who else did you play?
Yea i had a pretty tough bracket this year. Oro makes me mad. The only other noteworthy match I had was between me and Emphy who I eliminated. Urien has kind of a hard time against Remy.
Is Remy different in Hawaii or something? Shit makes no sense
