Everdred Teaches Remy

I think that’s only in the Arcade Korean Ver. B, where the voices are taken out.

Best version imo, especially for Remy. It’s the only version where they include his mustache. He’s just too nerfed without it.

OMFG! ARE YOU SERIOUS REMY HAS A MOUSTACHE!!! Are you serious or joking? Ya cant tell if (well enough) someone is being sarcastic from a peice of writing…evn if youre joking I think I found my new Avatar!!!

I Kara throw with RH already. Is that the furthest? Is the RH UOH the furthest as well?

Yes, Yes.

can someone help me get on mame cus i live very far from nyc so i really havent been able to play anyone… not like i was any good… but i miss playing 3s

i got a 360 joystick so you think i can use that on my lap top?

someone help me

from my new years and last visit to nyc…

i still think the best remy are the ones who turtle the best as in moving only close enough to zone and gain damage from “pushing” the opponent out, footsie anti poke cbk or having them deal with jumping as there best choice to move forward. then keeping an opponent in the corner to land throws on expecting lov tosses.

wake up pressure with lov’s are a must, landing cbk into a rrf is important whether its from a jump hp or cr hp it should always be attempted… not just for damage but even if you miss the rrf after the cbk you still are pushing the opponent backwards giving you more room to slowly move backwards so when they jump forward they are always falling short on jumps giving you added anti air options.

just the basics… flash gets you touched, remy gets touched he explodes like mega man touching a spike.

With the HP, CBK, RK juggle do you have to push out CBK the exact moment after you hit them with crouching HP? Also when not in the corner how do you Kara standing MP into the RK? -As the timing seems much much harder than a regular Kara throw.

I can only perform Kara throws about 50% of the time. To Kara throw do you INSTANTLY press throw after RH OR do you wait for half sec and do it? Because I think that the second half of the RH move gives the actual extra reach. Do all Kara throws require learnt timing or simply instant throw presses after you hit the regular attack?

Same question as the above but what is the timing for cancelling HK into UOH?

Can you perform jumping HP into and enemy and whilst they are stunned do a crouching HP? I think I saw it in a Remy match once.

Is there much point to cancelling QCB HP into CBK? It adds little distance, is it perhaps integral to some combo?

For your charge timing questions I think its better you learn it through Remembering it yourself that way you know what the right charge feels like and you can do more with that.

For cr hp cbk into rrf kara the cbk instead of flash kick. Kara with crouch strong. Same thing for air juggle. For st fierce into cbk it might work on late hit on thick Crouching characters. But st cl mk into cbk works on anyone crouching.

Hey thanks for the help but im not sure what you mean. Is there a trick to pushing out the cr Hp, cbk, RRF?

On a side not anyone got any setups to use cr HP? Wait and duck under fierce attacks?

cr hp is the last thing you do after u hit them with everything else you can think of out of the air.

air to air jump fierce into combo
lov
far strong
close strong
close st fierce

the list goes on… its like they go for a high jump in to hit at the tip of your forhead so you duck that and cr and fierce them

no real “set ups” it all centers around how high in the air they are and what you trained them on.

the cr hpto cbk to rrf you just gotta practice there isnt any real tips just make sure u got them high enough in the air for it. from them standing u might need to kara the cbk mid screen.

In Jap match vids whenever Remy scores a cr hp onto a jumping or standing opp he only RRF’s him. Why is that? Is it too difficult to perform the cbk combo under pressure or is the timing different for each character?

Who are you talking about? I’ve seen plenty of vids where after a cr. HP, the player, usualy Pierrot, does cbk to flash kick and such…which japanese players are you watching?

a miss timed cbk after the cr hp could have you miss the cbk all together let alone missing the rrf after the cbk. they MAYBE might not try cus they dont wanna risk losing out on the distance and damage the flash kick gets.

depending on the situation its harder to land all 3 hits of course, let alone the cbk after the cr HP.

With Remy’s combo in the corner: jumping hp, cr mp, standing hp LOV, cr lk, HK RRF is it all unblockable after the jumping strike? I also cant seem to land cr lk in if this is true, usually I just keep spamming it to find the trianing dummy blocks-but somtimes I land it. Can you kara something like that?

since it’s all a combo after the j.hp, the rest is “unblockable”. you don’t need to kara, it’s just quite tight timing. although don’t put down too much energy in that combo since it’s very rare to land a jumpin on a cornered opponent.

I’ve been trying Remy for just a few days and I really like his style. But I’m finding it pretty difficult to do the stuff that I see in tutorial vids. I can do almost all of the buffer/partition stuff (except the RRF buffer AKA two RRF’s in a row), but only 20% of the time. So am I just getting lucky each time? Maybe I’m not following the correct input? Or does it just take tremendous practice even if you know the input?

EDIT: By the way, EVERDRED, nice avatar!

Starting at 2:20, notably RRF Buffer 4.

Oh, your first post made it sound like you could somehow connect RRFs. All I can say is practice. It’s not very useful, believe me. When do you charge and how many charges are you doing for the RRF? This might help know what you’re doing wrong or how your timing is affected.

I seen in videos Remy doing a UOH followed by a lk then SRRF etc. Is the lk unblockable after the UOH? Also should I assume it can only be done on crocuh gaurded opponentss as I heard there is double stun time?
