Everdred Teaches Remy

Yeah, some Remy vs Ibuki stuff would be good. I know against the kungfu bros and makoto you really have to work your basics to the max. Knowing when to jump and counter (ie. with RH), tick throws, parries, stuff like that. Set up the lov/instant flashkick in spots. Don’t let yun build meter more than you have to. And anything from the bag of tricks that Remy players build up over time (Air RH blocked/hit really high on the standing opp, land just outside throw range, low short into flashkick. That shit works like a charm on Uriens)

But I barely play against good ibuki’s, and she can really hurt the frenchie good with her damaging combos and stun ability. And it’s no secret she’s another character like the ones above that you can’t zone like the rest of the cast. I’d say those 4 are his biggest problems. Not that Urien, Dudley, or Alex can’t put the hurts on Remy when they get close, but at least he can play his zone game against those characters.

(Am I trying too hard to spark convo in this thread? haha :chat:)

remy’s distance/closeups against necro, that would be fun

Ibuki vs Remy is a pretty even match. Just remember to kara saII reversal those slides and counter the hopkicks with a light razorkick. Don’t take any chances either, if she goes for the launcher chain resets, then just dash back instead of trying to ex razor or parry out. Also remember that ibuki is short, which makes her susceptible to an easy uoh saII link.

I tried to find some Remy vs Ibuki matches…unfortunately the only ones I could find are the ones of that I had taped…we need some more Remy matches on you tube!!

These are all against my friend Tony. He made that ibuki mix tape vid on you tube (http://youtube.com/watch?v=MnPDodJSnWI)

http://youtube.com/watch?v=g_kD9pEddF4 (first match)

http://youtube.com/watch?v=qys4Sr2xQgw (Second match)

Now that one I didn’t know. Though I rarely use my super art for anything but HUGE disadvantage punishment (I like the EX hehe), that could be useful. Thank you sir

Against Dudley I like to abuse high lovs from a safe distance(since high lovs have alonger recovery then low lovs) and try and bait him into doing a ducking to get under my lov and countering with c.mp xx sa or c.mp x lov. I don’t try and stop his ducking with s.mk,c.mk or c.hk because if he is doing ducking most likely he is trying to xx sa. So your poke stops him but he still happens to buffer out a super and he may catch a reversal on one of your limbs. Yes it has happended to me -_- lol. If he jumps its in your favour. Cause if your spaceing is right he will land ontop of the lov and take damge, if he parry’s you can set up some air parry traps. If he happens to clear the high lov it should be by millimeters and if he sticks out an attack while in the air, the lov will hit him from behind because of his large hit box during his attack. I like to throw out a s.mp even if i am unsure if he will attack or not. I always like to play a far game with remy when fighting a good dudley. The last thing you want is dudley all in your grill:lame::smile:

True fucking that

Just read in the Sean thread:

Someone’s Answer:
he has an abvantage against remy, he can sean tackle under high virtues and he can rolling sabbot (f.mk) over the low ones moving him inch by inch untill he’s up in remys face doing throw mix ups and eventually c.lkx’s2 xx SA1 or low forward SA1 and remy can’t really do anything bout it except a psychic flash kick/sa2 on wake up or throw into the corner and start spacing again.

Ehh…

really… I thought Remy had the advantage in that match lol

dagger_g, I’ve checked all your vids at youtube but I totally don’t understand the “b-charge” vid. what’s it for?

lol i made the vid to show xxxdaragexxx how i mix up the charges. If i do a regular buffer like charge back, foward, downback +P to throw a sonic boom, I can do something like: sonic, dash foward, razorkick or sonic, st.mp, razorkick. But that other method of charging allows you to do a second action after the sonic and still have a razorkick charged. For example with a B charge, you can go: sonic, dash, sonic, razorkick, or sonic, mp, dash, razorkick.

It really forces the other player to watch your charges and be more careful when trying to get in via the air since they never know when you have the razorkick charged.

Dagger G > all.

Yea I remeber that vid. The hardest part was figureing out how to use it.
When I first figured out how to finally rapid fire, I used to do it all the time but it was more flashy then effective. It took me awhile to figure out how to use it properly. Lots people just use rapid fire to throw like a total of 3 lovs back to back:sad:.

^Rage uses this often against me on live. Works very well =)

Imagine if you couldn’t parry x_x lol

Parries own Remy unfortunately. Capcom should have designed the game so that like you could only air parry them or something. Then Remy would be tops.

I wouldn’t say parries own remy. Thats thinking with a one track mind. There’s plenty of things remy can do to punish people who like to parry. Its just a matter of if the remy player knows what to do at that time is all. I am still trying to work on this myself.
Alot of people think as long as you can parry his lovs you are fine, that is completely wrong.

I haven’t really been playing 3s lately, but two days ago I went and played some. I played against my friend who is Parry happy against Remy, specially when jumping in…cause well, Remy only has so many options when the opponent jumps forward. I was able to keep bating LOV (he parries) into SA1/2. The same with standing MP (he parries) into SA1/SA2. I knew about this before, but never did it as often. Now I realized how awesome it is. So either:

A) opponent jumps in, gets hit by LOV/Standing MP

B) Opponent jumps in, parries LOV/Standing MP, but getsf-ed by SA1/SA2.

It’s pretty useful.

There are soooo many options.
Like if opponent air parries lov you could

  1. dash in grab or kara grab depending on distance
    2.back dash lov
    3.s.mp depending on distance.
4.s.lp>c.hp timing is strict (it can be done but i dont risk it)
    5.Sa 2
  2. Double back dash to repostion
    7.Partiton RRF
  3. Parry
9.Mashing the hell out of s.lp
there are so many options at times its hard to remeber everything

so yea back to that character specific matchups thing.
Haveing alittle trouble vs makoto any1 got any tips?
