Everdred Teaches Remy

I did that Urien glitch on someone at the arcade yesterday, shit was funny.

“OMG WTF did you do??”

As I just walk around pushing their character around, then I just built my meter up and since they had no life left, I just beat them into the next round.

Fun times.

Pick a different character :stuck_out_tongue: I personally think this is Remy’s worst match.

Sorta play it by ear I guess. Keep a steady smart flow of short kicks coming to keep her from whoring her dash in. Neutral jump moves to help spacing and avoiding her rush. Set her up with prior lov usage to dash under her jump ins. Don’t get knocked down. Don’t be afraid to rock some tick throws to create more openings and make her think that she has a fight ahead of her instead of a grab=death match. And just like with any character against her, guess right during her 50/50s :stuck_out_tongue: All stuff you probably already thought of. You definitely have to hope your opp isn’t that clever so your brains can actually overpower makoto’s beastiness in this match. And by all means… watch your ass if you are corner trapping her and she has meter. She’s such a dyke

can someone tell me what is up with this combo in this vid it will be in round 2 first combo from remy

now what i got from it is jumping Fp land qcb lk dash L backflip (sorry i dont know the names of the moves he is not my mane guy) so he had to partition for the L backflip but the real thing i want to know is can you do it at all times to any character or only a few character and if it is all on the hight that you land the fp on. so if you know plz tell thank

i didn’t see that this vid was posted before sorry for that but if anyone could answer my ?s I’d be happy thank

Just read from there, it’s talked about and discussed.

thanx for the post silks i’ll try the neutral jumping probally with rh. i see how that could help stop her dash. thanx again

I know we’ve discussed the cr.hp/j.hp, cbk, rrf combo earlier in the thread, but there is one question I have about it that hasn’t been answered.

If you do cbk, dash, rrf when do you start charging for the rrf? I can’t seem to find the timing on my own and it’s quite hard since you can’t charge it for too long without losing it.

Hi all.

I’ve been a long time Dudley player and after seeing a few Remy matches (At T8 in particular), I wanted to pick him up. However, I’ve never used a charge-type character in my life because I always found charging a difficult when I was a kid back in the SFII days with Guile.

Anyway, I was wondering if someone can explain charge partitioning to me. I get that what you’re doing is partically charging, doing an action, then doing the rest of the charge move but I have no idea on how to execute it. Any help would be wonderful.

It’s Japanese…but this will help.

I think you’re forgetting something in that post. o.o

Just do a search on, “partitioning.” There’s got to be a ton of threads that explain it throughout the 3s forum. I know I found some way back in the day. It’s a matter of splitting up the charge of a move into more than one segment while not OVERcharging. You want to be only charging to the minimum time limit or just barely over it by a few frames. Anymore and the system won’t recognize it as ONE charge

If you jump and your opponent does an anti-air srk which you parries, when you have no super, would the best punish be to do a hp while both of you are still airbourne and follow up with a flashkick, or would it be better to land and do a standing hp to (if you have it, EX) rrf (or even an cr.mp if you have problem doing the standinh hp to rrf)?

and I know that you can do a cbk before the rrf it you do the j.hp, but I’m not good enough at karaing the rrf to feel comfortable with that combo outside a corner.

Jumping in with the intent to parry is a serious risk with Remy. But if you ever happen to parry an srk, I would just stick with the j.hp into razorkick.

Actually it depends on the angle and height of the parry. For example: if you jump in and parry a lp.srk really late, you’ll land before the j.hp comes out. In this case, the only other option would be to land and punish with cr.hp into whatever. However, if ken does a fp.srk and you parry it, depending on the angle you might cross up after the parry, which means no cr.hp after landing.

Ideally youd want to hit the opponent on the ground recovery frames which would earn you a j.hp combo. It’s actually quite hard to land the st.hp x razorkick after parrying an anti air because you may or may not have enough charge depending on the characteristics of the jump. Just go with the j.hp, cr.mp x razorkick for consistency.

That being said, try to avoid jumping in with the intent of parrying with remy. Offensive jumps get him killed due to his lack of a crossup and somewhat shitty jump arc.

hi kyle! you and james gave me and ryan a serious run for our money! best remy player outside of japan. see you next evo, or sbo quals!

just remembered another question:

if you connect with a j.hp/cr.hp but don’t have any charge, which does more damage, another j.hp or a cbk?

cbk cus depending on where the opponent is on the screen u might be able to fit a juggle kara rrf after, or maybe just a normal.

yeah, but if you don’t count the rrf, what does most damage?

and when it comes to rrf, if you wanna do cbk, dash, rrf, when is the timing to start charging? can’t seem to get that right

So much of the stuff you ask on here you can find out for yourself in training mode you know?

Anyhow, as for that charge, start just a moment before you do the cbk, do cbk, charge during cbk, dash, do the very last few frames of charge, flashkick. Telling you that doesn’t really help though. You have to just do it enough times you learn the timing internally, just like all partitioning

yeah, I realize that I can find out much of it in training mode, I’m mostly posting here to keep the thread alive.

and about the cbk, rrf, I have tried it in training mode numerous times without result so I thought maybe asking and then trying again could help

Pretty sure you have to kara the rrf, I think with mp.
