Everdred Teaches Remy

 sagat in ST could do a 2 hit with a low and high tiger shot in the corner :bluu: old news right?

its possible to do 5 hits on all characters with LOV’s alone, also on a crouching urien i got a 7 hit from across the screen, i could have kept going but u run out of meter eventually. this is prety much an impossible thing to set up in a real fight tho cus he has to be stuck crouching AND not blocking on the other side of the screen.

because of hit stun differences the most u can do on a standing opponent that will combo i believe is only 5.:bluu:

if u like comboes on alex try this one i made up…

corner combo only, crouching alex
jumping fierce, standing strong, high EX LOV, walk forward, standing neutral forward, short CBK. have fun!:stuck_out_tongue:

but the hardest and most useful combo IMO is remy stryker’s

anywhere on the screen
jumping fierce, crouching fierce, short CBK, kara roundhouse RRF
kara cancel off the crouching strong, this i think is the best cus it does the most damage without using bar plus it works on all characters.

that combo does more damage than
jumping fierce, standing strong, jab LOV, crouching short, roundhouse RRF
this is corner only :frowning:

here’s a stupid combo i made up
crouching fierce (anti air), dash under (behind falling opponent), roundhouse RRF/SA1/SA2

:lame: i know…:bluu:

u can link into SA2 from a close standing fierce punch with remy, its either a link or a late buffer but u can hit confirm it and then go into the super and get all the hits.

so remy has 4 good links off of standing normals, plus a crouching strong that stays out for a long time making it a excellent poke (its a bufferable move into super but it seems u can’t hit confirm it), standing short is a GOOD poke to throw out cus after it being parried u can parry back or just block, cl standing strong when parried, u can parry back also.

jwong hit chain for remy: cl st strong x 2

after that u can hit st jab and it’ll combo from the cl strong or st short and it’ll combo, from there hit cr forward/hit standing neutral forward/personal overhead/walk up a smidge and hit crouching strong/short.

just looking for it to hit then link into super, if they parry u can down parry after or hit standing short to stop the start up of the retaliation move.

heres some cool hit strings

cr. short, st short, cr. short, low LOV

st. strong, st. short, cr. strong, low LOV

cr. short, st. short, cr. forward/ st. forward/ st. fierce/ towards forward

Ok Im stupid. I’ve read this whole thread and still do not understand the whole partitioning of lovs could someone make a video with the control movements? A how to on basic Remy?

i cant even get footage of my shitty remy in action lol sorry.

come to new york’s china town fair arcade saiyide and i can explain it if your ever in the area.

I’ve got a Saita’s Remy video from karathrow.com and i’m just getting the idea of the charge because i can’t do anything ye:( if you go there and dowload the video… you might get an idea.

yeah, i saw the video but i still dont understand the buttons/control movement to keep a lov or flash kick in the buffer? can anyone just say in terms an idiot such as myself can understand how do you do it?

this is the last time i’m explaining this

learn the charge time!!!

once u have that then u can store the charge itself then release it by executing the second half of the move.

charge back for full charge, then do a move (dash, uoh, normal)

while u do the move DO NOT HOLD BACK u can do any move as long as u dont hold back at all.

NOTE
if u charge more than the special move requires while perfect charging the move wont come out.

NOTE # 2
perfect charging is when u store a full charge then do a move that stores the charge by having the joystick in the neutral position, or any joystick postion that doesnt add charge in the direction of that move. EXAMPLE: to perfect charge a lov u cant have the joystick in the back position while storing because that would ADD to the amount of time u charged that move.

then tap forward and punch or kick and a lov will come out.

i cant explain it any simpler than that.

oh and that vid is cool, but that wont win matches unless u have an understanding on how to play as remy in the first place. range games, keep away, run away and rush down… knowing how to throw lov’s fast and use charge time is only a piece of the puzzle.

this is the last time i’m explaining this

WELL… SORRY FOR MAKING YOU LOSE YOUR TEMPER BUT I DONT REMEMBER THAR LITTLE “DETAILS” YOU HAVE JUST EXPLAINED!!!

well… now i can charge partition but I only can…

charge for a half second, dash and charge another half second THEN lov…

but you said “that” and leave me a bit confused… you said that i have to charge FULL (in other words the necessary time) but i don’t understand… while you are dashing you have to get your control in NEUTRAL and when you finish just press foward + jab and the move will come out? or do i have to push b,f+jab and it will come out?

well, that’s only one point i have…

the second one is… how do you do to throw more than one proyectile (not like that crazy remy vid but something similar) so i can trow and combo a jab and shor lov?

this is the last time i’m explaining this

what??? do you mean that storing is not charging but doing ANYTHING else than charging in that direction?? woa so then i can poke strong on a character and then do the lov? in other word for storing charge U need to do the perfect charge then do “nothing related to charge” and then the move will come out when i press only forward and the move will come out??

and YES I’M NOT STUPID KNOW YOU WONT WIN MATCHES WITH THAT but i want to learn it because i think its great and i can be considered as a master in my country since NOBODY here plays Remy (Chili have you ever heard of it i bet NO  )

i have a general question…

what is “UOH”?

How old are you little girl?

ok it’s universal overhead but i didn’t EVER heard the abreviation so it’s not my problem personally… well at least i learn something great…

Ive been reading your advice and its pretty good.
Heheh matter of fact there was some assholes playing 3rd strike last week at the local arcade and i asked em who they played as of course most of them said urien or ryu. When they asked me Who i played as and i said Remey they all laughed and said what a worthless char i played lol. So i sat in line for about 2 mins and finaly got to the guy who said i was worthless. He picks Ryu, i pick remey. Lets just say i saught out my revenge. NEVer again have they said remey sux

yeah remy i see being mid tier myself, he can fight most ppl, it isnt a horrible match up but its about a 50/50 chance between most match ups in my opinion, i think the only match ups that u really have to worry about with remy r…

chun li (i’ll admit, i choose necro for this one)

sa3 ryu (just dont ever get knocked down in the corner)

dudley (u guess wrong when anti airing and thats your stun and health, but he cant move forward so your only problem is him knocking u down ever or jumping in at u.)

wake up games r a bitch, guessing a parry isnt worth it with remy unless the person was in the air or u have a super and your close enough to use it.

dennizen get lost somewhere here in the philippines and wasn’t showing up on our casual matches…
nweiz, this is a good thread,i’m trying to use remy now after learning charge partitioning with urien…
i suppose urien’s partitioning has the same timing with remy,
right?

i dont think so, i think they have different methods to store charge which makes them kinda set apart from the eachother in timings.

Sharky… been busy lateley. but i play mostly at Shangri La (bumabalik na uli laro ko kahit papano, and i’m retired from ragnarok, finally!) usually during wednesdays and fridays around 3-6. I dont think i have stuffs left to share about remy. Everdread has done a pretty goddamn good job. anyways, what i have been studying lately is his juggles. you can do pretty much almost anything from crouching fierce. but if you fear being parried, just make sure you do crouching fierce early. that way, he wont land on you right away and this will give you time to FK. sumtimes, if your opponent kicks too early it wont connect into a combo. now back to the juggles, crouching fierce or neutral grab can be connected to SA1, depending on the number of the SBs that connects, you can follow up with a dash and CBK, this will push him really far into the corner. two SA1 connects into each other too. effective on people who jumps away from you (specially hadou-akuma and ibuki when she throws the daggers) air to air fierce can also be followed by SA1 into CBK. just be creative. these wont reall make you win in an instant but these are excellent setups. learn how to abuse the invincible frame of ex FK. it can go through projectiles. what else… i’ll post stuffs i forgot some other time. i dont really play as much anymore. sharky chambahan mo ko sa shangri la this friday 3-6. ayaw ko talaga sa inyo maglaro, ang hina ng bawas… nauubusan ako ng diskarte  i think southmall is starting to be active again. peace

kinda crappy combo:

opponent in corner
neutral throw, sa1, dash in, standing roundhouse cancel first hit into sa1.

right now tho i’m trying to learn the timing so i can try replacing the second sa1 with maybe a short RRF.

man, i thought i’ll never here from you again…
i played remy yesterday at quantum, cubao and i can’t get
the SB’s going in the corner…
i think my timing’s not good, maybe i need to practice more…
dash SB & flash kicks are cool, but i haven’t tried this one on real match…

CBK = HCB + K ???
im not that familiar with remy’s move
