Had my posts removed as well as all my past posts about Killer Instinct removed from eventhubs today.
I’ve been asking if they can add a filter to the site to hide news, I’ve also PM’d them about this subject. I’ve gotten nothing but silence and now they are going through and deleting all my old posts.
There has also been a TON of K.I. news on eventhubs lately as well as general MS news. I think they found themselves a new sponsor for the site and now are giving K.I. special treatment.
If the game is so bad…let it fail for itself. You’re not going to convince anyone new that Xbone/KI is bad for their health over there.
Which in general the whole thing is like paranoia at this point. Xbox did a poor job introducing people to their future of video games, but at this point you have no more control. Microsoft will either learn from their mistakes and play catch up or crumble.
The game has a lot of people who have been credible in fighting games working on it and they just unfortunately fell into a situation where Microsoft forced them to develop for their new system which was totally out of touch with customers. Now that things are more normalized you’ll just have to let things do their course.
Sounds like you were complaining about the KI news stories in the comments. Of course your post was removed, it was basically off-topic. And I would guess they either don’t want you hiding news stories, or they didn’t read your email.
Sound like your best option is to not give them your traffic and check some other site for news. Your worst option is to continue whining about it on other sites.
All the articles that are posted on eventshubs are usually posted here on the home page, save some features talking about drama and stuff, maybe some combo/competitive videos. But yeah, it’s their website, so technically they are allowed to censor what they want.
Respectfully, as I think most people here have pointed out, this isn’t discussion of a fighting game itself and thus doesn’t belong in FGD. Censorship would generally be a GD topic.
There is in fact a Killer Instinct thread here already, but generally I think it’s a brilliant plan for people not interested in games to not post in those threads/forums because … there are other games out there for you to enjoy.
I post at ehubs from time to time, and have found their stat features to be extremely helpful in finding local competition. There’s more discussion at SRK so I tend to hang out at the forums here more. Frankly I find the tribal competition between SRK and ehubs members to be more than a little silly, but then again it’s no more childish than the rivalry between PS3 and 360 owners, or even the UMVC3/SF4/Anime/3D communities.
