I ended up hot gluing the CWB203As into place (the pre-existing holes in my ASCII stick were ever-so-slightly too large for a tight fit). I have to say, I really like them. As someone used to Japanese buttons, I much prefer the smooth action to the “clickiness” of the 203Cs. They feel like Seimitsus with just a tad more resistance…very cool.

(I figured out why the 203Cs were sticking, too. Space is so small inside the ASCII that the nuts were pressing against each other and compressing the housings. Moral of the story is: If you think you’re being clever getting Korean buttons for the 28mm holes in an ASCII, go for the 203As.)

Hi laugh it’s me a huge idiot

Order 2645, i just sent a reply email to the automated purchase confirmation email because i done gived you the wrong address :expressionless:

I also sent you a PM on here and a webform message on eTokki because oh god i hope you see this please don’t send it to the place where I haven’t lived in like 1000 months or i will probably barf and cry

Yeah, well said! They have their own thing that isn’t Sanwa/Seimitsu and isn’t Happ. Really digging them a lot.

Now you just have to get in touch with Crown (Samducksa?) and have them do more colors!

previously ive asked if it was possible to install a TaeYoung Fanta into a mayflash stick.
well, ive change my mind. and now have another question.

Is it possible to install a TaeYoung Fanta into a MadCatz Street Fighter 4 SE stick?

anyone knows what kind of buttons are in these cabinets? i’ve never seen white korean buttons to sell online, are they just standard crown buttons or some other brand?

any news of the soft rubber for the Myoungshin?

and Laugh, just received my 4k, got here rly quick, thx

Laugh, excuse my casualness with this question, but are you holding back the new batch of Sanwa parts at your store too? I’m not religiously checking up eTokki everyday or anything like that. :looney: I just want to know. =P

Ryan says those white buttons are inferior to crowns. Just fyi.

I don’t know about the soft rubber myungshin but I do plan on buying on.

Yes?..Taeyoung Fanta - Google Search

Yes! Any additional colors would be fantastic.

No way. I want those so bad.

So a few months ago, I posted some pictures of my incomplete mod of the wooden Saulabi stick. Today, I’ve finished modding everything! (Cause I wasn’t able to buy the stuff I needed until a few days ago :))

So here are the pictures (took pics with phone ^^):

Before: Wooden Saulabi, modded with black Myoungshin Fanta and 10 black Crown CWB203A (modded by laugh :))

Mods:

  • Drilled 4 4,0 mm holes to mount Myoungshin (more secure fit, didn’t trust those screws ^^)
  • Removed rubber feet, installed 40 mm aluminium case feet
  • Installed Saulabi weight, mounted on the bottom
  • Drilled 3 holes at the back + put in 3 Seimitsu PS-14-GN-BK, white (= Home, Start, Select button) + Filled up Select and Start buttons on top with 2 28 mm button plugs
  • Drilled 24 mm hole for Neutrik USB (As you can see, there’s also a 24 mm button plug, next to the Neutrik USB. That was the result of a mistake. :))
  • Removed needles that hold the stick together. Installed hinges on the back, locks on the left and right.
  • Removed half-broken Saulabi PCB, installed Dual Strike V2 PCB + wiring + QD’s for Myoungshin and Crown CWB203A
  • Bought Red Crown CWB203A buttons

That’s it, I guess. Wiring wasn’t done really well, but I’m very happy! ^^

Thank you again, laugh, for helping me out so many times

Great work DeTrun, awesome stick.

just bought the wooden korean stick. Got the good shipping and everything.

Thanks, Loki and Ryan

Well, I think I’m going to post it in the “new arcade stick”-thread ^^

I have to say I definitely enjoy playing on my wooden Saulabi. Thanks for everything again, Ryan. I’ll be looking forward to that big news

Hey I just got my things man! One Saulabi 4K (PS3), one green Fanta Myongshin, medium rubber, two Sanwa JLF, dark hai balls, a lot of Sanwa buttons dark hai.

Gonna mod three sticks tomorrow so I will probably need some help. One HRAP3SA, Tekken 3 Namco Old School and Saulabi 4K.

Any soft rubbers in?
Thanks Laugh I have been really busy. Thought I would show you with what…

Just got my wooden stick. Great work, etokki guys!

BTW, anyone know how to open it? Do the rubber pads cover screws? Or am I gonna have to do open surgery?

got my Taeyoung fanta in the mail two days ago and have finally finished modding my Madcatz SE.

so yeah, for those wondering if it was possible to install a Taeyoung fanta into a SE, yes it is…without the right tools Its a bitch, but its possible.

wonderful stick btw. After going thru Happ, IL, Sanwa, and Semitsu, this has to be the best stick ive played with by far.

Any idea when the Sanwa buttons and ball tops will be back in stock? I’ve been waiting for a long time with my dodgy Mayflash stick.

Is there any way to mod the wooden Korean sticks to be compatible w/ the xbox 360? I don’t want to lug a converter + controller around everywhere I go. Ideally, I’d like a stick that “the cleaner” has couple of posts up from this one (w/ the jin artwork).

BTW, I’m located in Seoul. Looking forward to ordering from you guys!

Hello Laugh

I would have some questions about the Wooden Korean Stick:

I would like to know the length of the cable, I play approximately 2 meters of my PS3. If the cable is too short exists he a means to extend him?

What is the resistance of the rubber in the stick Myoungshin which is on the Stick?
And if it is not one -soft- when could have you of it of available?

Sizes of buttons on this stick is her the same that buttons Sanwa or Seimitsu?

Thank you!

Tizii

PS: I am French, sorry for my very bad English.

how you do dat?
