Elfuerte Challenge Mode Combo Help

I’ve been doing nothing but trying this one combo since the last post, and I’m starting to realize the trick to the combo.
I can get everything down to the light kick, but for some reason I can’t get the lk>c.mk to work. I can do it 9/10 times standing, but for some reason I can’t do it in this freaking combo.

he dashes back immeidately after the FA, then he does the ->.mk, dan doesnt pop up after, but i cant connect the LK still…sigh

^^^I was able to complete it today after spending forever on it…

The best advice I can give you is to practice just the forward mk into the standing lk then crouching mk and super.

The mk and super are probably the easiest part…it’s just getting the lk to link after the forward mk.

Also…the game’s easy inputs…were not a blessing for me, since I was using a pad. I’d do the combo and get his ex air throw.

I’m stuck on his final trial right now…

For anyone having trouble doing Normal Trial 4’s Jumping HK -> Standing HP -> Sobat -> Super, I found it easier to buffer (negative edge) the HP so that it was like:

Jump in HK
Standing HP (keep button held down)
QCF Motion Release HP, Press MK
Soon as the sobat connects, qcf x2 + K.

Worked like a charm once I remembered you can do the input like that :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: Woo, finally got all the trials done. Now that I know how to do the RSF loop, I still can’t get more than three hits though :stuck_out_tongue: Oh well, different topic altogether.

I finished the final one a few days ago. Damn that infinite is tough. Glad I don’t need to unlock those icons ever again.

Amen to that, although I’d really like to get good enough at the RSF loop to work it into my game. I see hours and hours of practice ahead. :looney:

On the hard trial jab combo (jump in, jabx3, cr.MK), anybody know where the jump-in should hit? Is it deep, is it early, should I hold forward so the mk hits?

I keep getting everything hitting except the last mk. I’m either too far away or it’s blocked ==.

oh crap, I just lost power earlier today while playing Hard Trial #4…I haven’t turned on the PS3 since then but now i’m scared as hell lmao

My corrupt data prolly had somethin to do with the PS3 getting shut off during an online match, so hopefully you’ll be alright if you were offline.

i think i love you (no homo)

worked perfectly cheers.

lol You’re welcome.

Now, if only someone out there could film the RSF loop with the camera on their hands so I could get the timing down better. x_x I still can’t do it consistently.

There’s a video of that floating around, dude.

Well, I do have that video bookmarked, but unfortunately I said “with the camera on their hands”, as in, showing their hands performing the RSF, not just on the screen with the sound of the buttons being hit. :frowning:

I really want to watch someone perform it visually.

I read it as “someone with a camera on their hands could film the RSF”. Woops. : )

i’ve been trying the RSF since forever and can’t seem to pull it off. The most i’ve done is 2 in a row but the 3rd 1 always seem to end up with the far HP. What am i doing wrong here? If i let him run a little more, the 3rd HP wouldn’t combo.

Awesome. Thanks for the link

The hardest part of RSF for me is that you have to leave at least 3 frames between the LP,HP drum… otherwise he just stops running and stands still.
I tried using Negative Edge, but it just seems to complicate the timing more for me.
Oh well, gotta keep practising. I get a little better at it every day.

You let him run a little more in between the 1st and 2nd fierces.

hp, qcf+lp, (PAUSE), lp~hp, continue.

Get the sceond s.hp as deep as you can.

I was afraid some1 would say that… well back to the drawing boards again.
