I really enjoy playing Elena as she is now but her 2013 version seems so awesome. I really believe that Elena will be a very good character in this new version given the long reach on her pokes and even better ability to deal with projectile characters with the sliding buffs. I still wonder though does that mean that Elena will be able to slide even under Guile’s sonic boom? If so that would be awesome- can’t wait for this patch to come.
As of now she can’t slide under guile’s projectiles and chun’s as well. Cross your figures iand hope is will work agaisnt them,that would be a big. I don’t like jumping in on chun or guile

I only think that because she could already slide under shotos with fireballs so the buff to the slide must be for other fireball characters then like a Poison or Guile. But you are right that would be big and unfortunately means it probably won’t happen 
Edit: Just went in training and realized she can’t slide under Ken’s fireball so oops
Funnily enough, one of the only fireball characters she can slide under is Ryu and Jin, but Ken, whose fireball is supposed to be weaker, she can’t. Hopefully you will be able to post patch.
Just got the patch and guess what? She can slide under any projectile including Guiles So loving this new Elena; the range on her normals, her jump and the fact that it is much easier to hit her super art off combos.
Just tried it out myself. Man, Elena is just so much better now.
Something else I noticed playing with Elena is the fact the her second target combo in the air (:mp::hp:) now works on smaller opponents. I am pretty certain before then it only worked on larger opponents so this is really good to implement in Elena’s game and strategy.
Her Mallet Smashes are no longer raw launchable

Do you guys think Akuma/Elena works as a team?
I can’t say for certain as I’m an awful Akuma player but it could work I think. I’m not sure about Akuma’s meter requirements so he might be better in the back than on point. Again, I suck with Akuma.
her standing short is 3 frames correct? and her crouching is 4? making her crouching mp about 5?
also seems like her grab range is nerfed a bit…
Now with Elena it is possible to hit her target combo after her Mk Rhino horn. I am pretty certain you couldn’t do it before but could be wrong. You can net about 436 dmg combo by doing :u: :hp:, target combo :hp::hk: , :d::mp: , :mk: Rhino Horn, target combo :mk::d::hp: , and then end with :df::hk: .

Yea it has been. Many times have I been just out of reach when I though I was close enough. Poor Elena and her raptor length arms
Forward :mp: and the ability to link after it is so sexy. Im liking things new Elena definitely. Can’t wait till I understand the game more!

Cool, what can it combo into? And can someone give me some advice with playing Elena more aggressively? I’m also having to readjust myself to Street Fighter footsies once more, but I can tell a good chunk of her pressure will involve Mallet Smash and Lynx Tail mixups.
hey guys, I am new to cross tekken and i wish to get into it with the recent patch that came out. I main sf4 in which i play cammy, but i do not want to play her in cross because i do not do very well with playing the same character in two games. So with that being said i had elena in mind for my point character from what i have read her purpose on the team is quite similar to cammy’s and made me interested with playing with the character. another problem i am having is finding anchor character to pair up with her any suggestions ?? also if anybody wants to play some matches & owns a ps3 my gamertag is tracey9123
