So far I have noticed on block the push back is the perfect distance to do his f+lk of f+mk overheads. With the plus frames from the EWGF I assume we can achieve a counter hit on crouch giving us a ground bounce (I am also assuming they will use a crouching poke in retaliation).

alright im converted, i did it on accident just trying to dash up and do a low strong he did a 100 damage uppercut

Try going at it by holding down lk and doing a bnb into WGF, while doing the bnb try inputting WGF faster than normal. This will help you on getting the EWGF during bnb’s. For the moment I know I get it consistently more to say, on and off during bnbs. Tryin to get it out raw is much more difficult. I get 1 out of every…5 or 6 tires I go for. Just hold down lk, and once again try going for a faster input on wave dash into WGF.

There are questions/post in each thread about this. Its getting a little rout of control and clouding everything. So let’s discuss it here. Even though there isn’t much to discuss now.

EWGFCredits to Justus and Half-Ro for mentioning it, Credits to Dukefleed and Huber for finding damage out put properties prior to the official release.

This move is difficult to do. Your going to spend a lot of time mastering it, if you haven’t already.

The input is f,n,d, df + mp/hp.

You need to hit the punch button at exactly the same time you hit df.

After much testing these are the properties what were found compared to that of the WGF. It seems to act like an EX WGF*;

while exhibiting these other properties of:

• A bigger hit box

• Extra juggle property

• More Damage Output (100 damage points, see credits)

• Costs no meter

*Note: Devilknight made a good point: The EX may have additional properties such as body invulnerability that may not apply to EWGF.Add’l testing will be done.

You’ll know if you get it out with the following (4) ques:

1. The red damage spark created when the enemy is hit is the same as the EX attack.

2. There are extended electricity sparks that come out of his fist the width of his body as compared to the normal WGF.

3. The enemy’s air has a different arc when air born.

4. Move sounds louder and augmented.

The EWGF can lead to some very damaging combos. Given the fact that the EWGF is so difficult to do. I don’t think it will be incorporated into BNB strategies for ‘most’ beginner to semi advanced players.

Until you can do the EWGF at will. You’re much better off going for simpler combos. Kazuya’s Non-EWGF BNBs still do a TON of life, and you will hit oppenents more consistently.

Post EWGF COMBOS below! Please add damage if possible.

I feel if TxSF is ever made by NAMCO, and if they called Ryu’s DRAGON PUNCH a “jumping uppercut.” Three things would happen:

(1) SF players would just dismiss it.

(2) They (and the Tekken fan base) would still call it a Dragon Punch.

(3) The colloquial term would remain a “Dragon Punch.”

The EWGF is just as iconic in the Tekken scene as the DP is in the SF scene. Just b/c the Capcom missed the nuance of the Tekken lexicon, doesn’t mean the colloquial terms are now obsolete.

for me i make a circle motion in the corner of my stick, seems to work for me

For EWGF, is it an obligation to use f/d/d+F+P or can we use shortcut like 23623+MP/HP?

You should be able to do that if you want, but it’s not a convenient way to use the move from a practical standpoint.

EWGF doesn’t have an EX version at all. EWGF acts like a EX WGF. Meaning it has all it’s priority, and hit/hurtbox, and -/+ frames. This is why the move is difficult to get the hang of. But it’s worth it indeed.

wooow, it’s getting confusing.
I believe the motion f,f, f/d MP or HP is the EWGF you can press the punch immediatly or during the mist wave. Also there is blue electricity coming out
But what is the WGF? what is the exact input for this move. I don’t see no purple with any kazuya’s uppercut

No, blue electricity = 70 hp = WGF
Pink electricity = 100hp = EWGF

J/K, it really does, it’s just really hard to do. Over time it will get easier.
