Ok, this is it. I have made up my mind. I will stop practicing with the stick. Why? Well, I just cant get used to it.First of all, that shit is to big for my hands and I respond to slow, secondly, because I’m good with the pad. I mean, if you are good at something, you should stick with it. Cesar knows that I am way better with the pad than with the stick, so from now on, pad for me:D . I know what you are going to say; “Pads sucks, You need the stick to go to tourneys. Sticks have better execution, etc”, All I can say is screw this. I dont care if I cant go to tourneys to show off, I dont give a f.ck what people think of me, as long as I can kick their asses, Im cool with it:cool: . So, Ill keep practicing with my pad. Remeber that people have different taste and learning abilities, and mine is just different but still good. The only game I’ll play with stick will be MvC2 because I havent played that game on the pad, and I really need the dashing there, but thats about it.

Dont give me this crap that pads are for losers and sticks are better. They may be better for you and for the experts, but not for me. That’s BS, so just let me be and get good at games on my own way.

The difference is that unlike them, I am way more picky when it comes to controllers, also, I play a lot less, meaning that I don’t even have the same execution ability to begin with. If it were by me, I would only use three sticks:
- Lando’s
- Carlos’ new stick
- Carlos’ old stick
If you want to make the list longer, add the sticks used in Stargate or the Gameroom. No, there is no stick in El Paso that matches those. Probably Lando’s but that’s it.
And I am not the only one who expresses a dislike for a particular stick. Cesar and Demetrio just cannot use Fernie’s stick for example, and Demetrio cannot use Cesar’s stick IIRC. So I am the one who expresses his dislike the most. That doesn’t change the fact that people has stick preferences. The sticks may have the same frame, but most of them are different. Some are 8-way, some are 360s, some are a combination of both.
Oh well, duh. If you think I am talking to you when I say those things, think again.
You really do practice? As far as I know you only go to Cesar’s when I give you a ride, and I don’t recall Demetrio having more than one stick. And guess what? UTEP’s sticks do not count.
You don’t get better on sticks for the simple reason that for every hour you use a stick, you use the pad for several times the amount of time. That’s like me trying to learn C++ while trying to use pointers are references, or trying to learn to use a Mac while trying to do things like in Windows (which is the main reason why a lot of people don’t like Macs, for not being the same despite being better from a usability point of view, btw) or trying to play CvS2 Chun Li as if she was Third Strike Chun Li. Or like those people trying to use SNK characters in CvS2 as if it was KoF. It doesn’t work.
I am not criticizing you using a pad. I am criticizing you giving up on a stick without really trying.
Why do you think I can play decently in a keyboard? I really tried. It took me a while, but I finally made it. Same with sticks, same with pads.
