Albuquerque Tourney Hotel Option-select
Alright, guys. I’ve been slacking it on doing my work so I took this time to research what hotel we’re gonna stay at for Friday, May 27th and Saturday, May 28th.
The Howard Johnson Hotel & Conference Center (where the tourney is being held) has NO rooms available for our stay. I guess we waited too long for that one. Since we’re driving there, I’m sure it wouldn’t be too much trouble to commute from another, close hotel.
I’ve found a varitey of options at Travelocity.com and have come up with the following:
Located on the same street as Howard Johnson (Hotel Circle)…
-Econo-Lodge: Standard Room with 2 Double Beds Non Smoking, $49.00 per night. They didn’t say anything else.
-Quality Inn & Suites: Standard 2 Double Beds Smoking, $89.00 per night. They didn’t say anything else.
Located on the street adjacent to Hotel Circle (Hotel Avenue)…
-Holiday Inn Express: Standard Room with 2 Double Beds Non Smoking, $72.00 per night, but there are all these cool things that you get like, “Each room has a clock radio, in-room coffee maker, and a wall-mounted hairdryer. Hotel amenities include: Indoor pool, Sauna, Hot tub, Fitness center, Complimentary breakfast bar, and a meeting room that can accomodated 30 persons. compliementary cookies in the afternoon.”
All of these hotels are within walking distance (100 m) of the tourney. All other hotel options I found were a few miles away, but not really that far. I don’t know what you guys might want, but I personally would choose Holiday Inn 'cause if anyone has ever stayed in a Holiday Inn Express, they know that they are top-notch. I clicked on Holiday Inn Express one minute and it was $61.00 and then it changed to $72.00. Someone must have booked a room while I was looking through and it was updated right then. So we better act fast before we run out of options. Let me know what you guys think and let’s decide on this together. BTW, these aren’t the only hotels we could stay at. If someone wants to double check and find a better hotel, then please do, but this is just what I discovered. Lates.

I really don’t want to spend more than $15 a night for the hotels . We’ll probably just be gaming it anyway. :\ I’ve been to some nice hotels, but for this, cheap is the way to go IMO. But I’ll go with the majority. 
Thinking about it, we can save money on breakfast by staying at the Holiday Inn. Hmm, that’s usually like $5. I guess that’s not a bad idea at all. And I can work out, wheee!

SHEEEEEEET, baited on the hotels-damn, well as soon as I’m done with all this finals shit I’ll be checking it out…We’ll work something out, I also wouldn’t mind having to drive from our hotel to the tourney, cause we are gonna have some equipment to bring. I don’t know, i’ve been spoiled from the last tourney (just leaving the hotel room straight to the tourney within a minute and a half) plus that’s where pretty much everyone else will be staying at. but yeah, let’s try not to spend more then 15 bucks for hotel rooms, let’s all pull a Texas Showdown 3 if we need to.
But anyways, DJ, are you guys still planning on staying till sunday??? cause if so, then i’ll probably come back to el paso with jeremy.

Well, I figure 4 per hotel room. Holiday in express = 18/person
Econolodge =12.25/person
But do we wanna have to go out in the morning to get breakfast, or pay the extra 5.75 and get a continental one? hmmm I say we go cheap, cause we can buy a better breakfast with 5 bucks.
One sunday there is gonna be a Halo 1 tourney I’m gonna enter in, and maybe a tennis 2k2 also lol, so I’ll be there until Halo ends.
Oh, and about EVO? Let’s stay in Circus Circus! uber cheap with awsome arcade!

I say econolodge, staying there will give us an extra ten bucks, that can buy alot of food, or enter you into another tourney. Joe, not saying that you won’t want to, saying that you won’t have time. You’ll be too busy getting drunk and gaming it. :party: :karate:
