Hey DJ, if I do take my car, I think Iām jacking Andy and maybe James, because he seems somewhat interested. Doubt it though, money will probably get to him, lol.
Calculations so far:
Depending on who you go and leave with, hotel will either cost $10 or $20 a person. 4 people to a room sounds good to me.
Gas Iād say pitch up around $10, depends on the car. For instance, Iād be cool with $6 or $7 from each person, with current prices.
Actual tourney, you know the drill, probably $10 a game. Donāt forget to factor multiple games, lol.
Food, depends who it is but Iād say bring close to $20 just for that, especially if youāre staying until Sunday. I think everyoneās gonna need at least 2 meals a day, so yeah.
These are just rough estimates, Iām sure some of us will find ways to spend significantly less or more money.
At this point, bringing $80 or so wouldnāt be a bad idea, because who knows what else youāll wanna buy up there. :\

Yesterday the sunlight woke me up at freaking 5am. WTF.
So far, Oracle has been a total bitch to administrate. Now letās hope it is not a total bitch to let me work with it thru Eclipse.
Training is like at mach-speed now. Learning sql and pl/sql in a week? oookay. Its not hard if you have a programming background, but those who come from an MBA or unrelated field (or none) are struggling.

Finally got Eclipseās DBEdit to work with Oracle. Things can be such a bitch sometimes.

Unfortunately we lost our internet connection since the person paying for it got assigned to Dallas. The service will be there until May 14th, but we need to get a cable modem and a router. Hopefully we can get it tomorrow.
Gotta eat something. I lost too much time on this already, but at least it was fun. Later this week I got to find out how to make Oracle not start on startup (and how to manual start it). The sucker takes at least 100 megs of memory >.<
Dave, do you have an idea of how to do this? Or maybe you know an Oracle admin around?

Evolution 2005 Planning
Since the place that the tournament is going to be held is still TBA, the only thing we know is the city: Las Vegas. Iāve looked at some of the fares available and it looks like the āfun fareā at Southwest Airlines is the lowest at $224.
I guess that we would be leaving Thurs., Aug. 11 (day before the tourney) in the morning and returning Mon., Aug. 15 (the day after the last day of the tourney) in the evening or so since all the fares for the end of the 14th are unavailable for the cheap seats.
Let me know what you guys think. I know that this isnāt exactly the matter at hand since Albuquerque is less than a month away, but I figure that we should get the ball rolling on this one so we donāt get baited.
