I still consider CvS2 to be a decent game, as a I honestly think that Capcom put a lot of effort on it (at least compared to CFJ) and they really wanted the game to be good.
But the fact is that here in El Paso, we are stuck in the “pick at least two of Sagat, Blanka, Cammy, Vega/Bison, Sakura if you want to win” state of the game. We haven’t achieved the “high level” where we can stop relying on them so much. The only way that we are going to see different characters is when Cesar, Lando and you go for RC-crazy, kind of ironic since RC was not even supposed to be in the game. Joe at least learned Ken and Guile on his own and you are very good with Geese and Yamazaki, but I rarely see you and Joe is no longer around.
The game has a lot for it, links, pokes, footsies, mixups, etc. but at the end it feels like everything is lost in more of the same.
I really wanted to like the game. Heck, I preordered it. But it just happens that whenver I play it I am reminded of the things that made me get dissapointed with it. Chew and Fernie wanting to play CvS2 most of the time doesn’t help either, so it becomes even more annoying. Where is GG? ST is rarely played. Are we ever going to play Tekken in Chews? We barely play Marvel and 3S is not even guaranteed to last for more than two hours.
My Tourney team is Rolento Sakura Chun Li one top tier go figure. Got me 13th place in TS3

The only flaw in CVS2 that kind of bugs me is the fact that there are way too many defensive options as compared to the offensive ones. It’s also a fact that CVS2 is the most turtle-friendly SF ever, but meh, it doesn’t matter to me.
And I challenged Dave to a money match, but he refused. Oh well, no one plays 3s well here anyway. Me and DJ are decent, and everyone else sucks.

My hopes for the next great fighthing game is on Sammy vs. Capcom. If Arc System Works will be developing the game, something good can happen.
If Namco and Capcom got togehter for a SRPG, I don’t see why Namco can’t make a 3D fighter and Capcom a 2D one. Afterall, plenty of 2D art is being done for Namco x Capcom, and Namco could experiment with a new 3D fighting engine.
EA and Bungie (that’s right) are helping kill quality videogames. I know I’m gonna wait at least a year or two if I even decide to buy one of the new consoles. Too many sequels, too little innovation. DS and PSP can also suck it. I’ll upgrade my PC in the summer and will be set for a long time.
Jabel’s right, Sammy vs. Capcom does have potential and I doubt it’ll fail miserably, unlike the other SVC. I hope it turns out decent, at the very least.
I hate EA. I can’t believe how much reviewers and people love their games so much. People have been blind since the PSX days IMO.

I don’t think there is any. People started to make rumors in here about the game being cancelled because of lack of news about the game, but there never was a cancellation announcement (just GTS). The game was announced on 09/11/03, with no screens whatsoever. If they are making the game from the ground up, there won’t be news for a long while.
No Dice yet Penne, but probably by tonite. I think ea could do something decent they are a pretty nice company even tho they don’t make fighting games i think it would be easy enough to hire some people who do know about making fighting games. Sammy vs. Capcom better be more capcom or it will be a mess(how long can i make someone block)with great visuals…LaTEs
