You liked Metroid’s controls? Bleh! I just don’t think it works well for a handheld game. It’s one thing to play it on the DS when it’s on the stand at EB, but it’s awkward as hell when held w/o assistance. Dunno. I loves Nintendo, and I’m an avid fan of anything Metroid, but I think that the DS is gonna flop like Virtual Boy. :sad: At the moment, it feels like the extra screen/stylus is more a gimic than anything. I hope Nintendo proves me wrong, but I don’t think it’s gonna fare that well. :sad:

I just got back from deer hunting, i will be down to battle anytime next week, i think after like wednesday school is over except for finals…i will have to check in that. I wont be able to do anything this weekend cause i am going home to visit my family for the holidays. But post up anytime you guys can battle next week. From the looks of it i might me getting rid of my chick, not sure yet, but if that is the case, we can battle pretty much anytime you guys want.
Today I tried Feel the Magic. It is a pretty damn fun minigame title with a somewhat dorky (but funny) storyline where you try to impress a girl or something.
I don’t think the DS is gonna flop. Preorders of the system were pretty good:

I tried Metroid again without the stand and it was okay to me. I just have to make sure to not put too much pressure on the thumb so I won’t get tired (it often happens to me when using pads in general).

Yeah, I heard that Feel the Magic was pretty fun. That’s definitely positive. 
I still dunno, though. With the exception of Feel the Magic, not many of the DS’s release titles really take advantage of the DS’s capabilities. I think that for the DS to really work, it needs to have a bunch of games that really (comfortably) integrate the DS and stylus into gameplay. It has to be more than a gimmick to succeed. Right now, I’m really not seeing this kind of game support. The system is young, though, so it definitely has a little time to build this up. However, with Sony’s handheld coming out in the not too distant future, things look a little grim. Again, I hope that the big N proves me wrong. I’d like the system to be good for things other than drawing penne.
