El Fuerte - SSF4 AE Updates, Videos, and Discussion Thread

Please don’t start this again guys remember all the hype over his fabled “stop buff” lol. Everything looks faster in general on a video. The blog clearly states its only different on hit and only on level 3 or ex.

Yeah. true. I took it to the lab. Let’s just take it easy on looking too hard for stealth changes. Which goes double for me.

Exactly. I was still finding people at EVO that thought stop was quicker.

Me @SpeedBrkr (EL) Vs Danimitsu (AK/RU) @ TeamHAZMAT Tourney On 8/26! http://bit.ly/pOeZpv (Starts @ ~1:12:00)

I did well vs his Akuma but did not fair well against this Rufus! XD I normally do well in the Rufus matchup but for some reason I feared his Messiah Kick too much.

Fuerte match at: 27:20

I love how he abused the crLP -> shower kick reset and then conditioned the sagat to stand there while Fuerte prepped Focus. good to see someone use crLP like that.

Cool of Ski to give Halcyonryu/BlueGuile a shoutout.

I had some matches last night (officially coming out of my scrubby ass break) but as he had stick problems I stuck to just doing testing with him Dudley gets hit by both hits of Far HK at the right distance. But its a double edged sword… Duds’ far HP tends to beat it alot.

See, Ski mentions the shit that I always bitch about. There are so many safe jump opportunities that most Fuertes don’t take advantage of. But hey, aside from RSF fails, he played pretty damn solid. Can’t argue with a win.

Agreed. We need to have them all posted >_> PM them to me will ya?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8XrKBEtc0w <-- crLP to shower to crLP and crLP to shower to walk up throw.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxSYN0XroPc <-- more jab stuff, jump ins in particular. just gotta find that sweet spot.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8jyEMXCG-g <-- dropkick poking

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQt4Z_T8Ji0 <-- stole this from spab, not giving it back.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WzoT4lcXbM <— whiffing at the right time? or maybe he was mashing anyway. eh.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwF4qTBVtfk <-- I’ve never had this happen before. Except against Cody’s Light Ruffian kick.

for your honor

Had the same thing happen to me against a Ryu. They do not want to watch that Ultra animation.

I wouldn’t have cared so much if it wasn’t because I know he quit since beat the crap outta me with my terrible terrible makoto.

I know I was in his head in that second round. He thought he’d punish my crMP again the second time. Lol

Fuerte sightings in Brazil! lol i have been watching this guy for a while along with Gipie… He has good spacing

Obviously crLK is a better followup then crLP. nice to see that in action.

He set his opponent to stand there by not doing anything after the initial shower kick to crLK, then later went into shower, crLK crmk RSmK

Round 1, did he really bait Rufus’ focus with a Tostada???

Spab gave me the go-ahead.

Nice stuff from Brazil there, like his resets. Very nice RS cr.mk pressure from Sega! I’m envious of that execution. That’s a difficult move for me since I’m stuck with a gamepad, so awkward. Thanks for putting out the hitbox videos and the overview Densuo. Although the more I hear it, the more I wonder how hard it is for other people to jump into Fuerte with so many of us playing differently. Well having said that, there’s a few Fuerte’s who have solid playstles, and each of them adds a nice little spice of their own to char.
