Guile’s crouching MP is really good. it’s very hard to do stuff against him with that damn crMP of his…
crLP chain notes:
tick throws can be done extremely easily after 1 or 2 crLPs Fuerte’s walk speed makes it so easy. just watch out for mashers.
so far with crLP 1-4 I like to:
Overhead reset (any number of jabs)
Tick Throws (1-2 jabs)
far mp/mk(target combo for shenanigans)/hk
Ultra 2 (shenanigans. great if you’ve been scoring lots of tick throws or they like mashing)
Reversal EX run on wake up is still a problem. I have not deliberately tried it but the few times I did it was just not coming out. I think what it is… is the following, it’s a guess but You can’t reversal EX Run on wakeup with Negative edge’d EX run?
Edit:
Bodied by Yun. No Answer for Adon’s JK. Vs Fei saw Blocked crHK to a st jab…I wonder if this is a blockstring or he just did random Button pressing…
The reason for me, I feel, is that the timing window feels more strict; it’s as if it’s not saving your inputs in the buffer.Generally, if you input your EX-run reversal at the very end of your get up animation, it’ll work fine. The later you get EX Run out as a reversal, the more consistent it is.
Yeah, Q-Bomb and Gordita sobat are Fuerte’s only FADC’able Special moves. Check the fundamentals thread its all there.
I’m gonna be parsing the RSF thread and either plan on making a new one, or just gonna take all the pertinent info and throw it in the Fundamentals thread.
I’m gonna cover weird reeling etc, but as I still suck with RSF I’d appreciate some info on that.
I can always tell when the respect for your opponent drops when you RSF more than one time in the same round. I like the QBomb finisher on RSF, which I feel is a better way to end RSF, but since its usually a clutch moment, its not always practical to just have a kick held down the whole time, much less two for some beefy ex Qbomb damage.
As for weird reeling animation, I think there is just a slight delay in stop timing, after that resume like normal. Wish I had a way of recording my stuff, should look into that. I play by feel mostly, so its difficult translating it into useful information.
So awesome to see an Elf player make it to GF, in Japan no less, at SBO quals. I love his mk finish to RSF into cr.jab>mixup. I’m gonna start using that.
I always thought the sobat>cr.lp would could come in useful.
Anyway, some guy I played a few ranked matches with uploaded one of our games, so I figured I’d post it.
Not my best performance and he chose the one match where I didn’t land any RSFs to upload. Oh well.
Thanks for the tip. I remember for sure that once or twice when that happened, I was going for the TKD special (backdash crumple, run stop cl.st.hk into guac) but I fucked it up with a down motion somewhere.
The only reservations I have about using a ground reset off a late attack on a crumple is that it seems that it’s the perfect positioning for them to mash uppercut and hit without a splash crossing up, or a tortilla being safe. Forward run fajita sounds interesting, though. I’ll try it.
@Saco
I think you should have tried to stay more mid-range against Yawn, and I think it applies to fighting every other character. It can be hell enough as it is to get in and going for wall jumps can be rather predictable. Try to poke him out. Of course, this is Yawn we’re talking about so this is easier said than done.
