Completely agree with you. I have never lost randomly in any match so far, simple mistakes don’t feel that they can cost me the whole match anymore.
I have been using guac a lot to great effect, especially ex guac. The combination of dropkick and guac has been a great one to keep people away from approaching you. U2 is going to be very good once I get the hang of it, I still need to understand it more.
My experience has been mostly against Guy so far, and it seems like an even matchup. I had only one match so far with Ibuki, I didn’t know much about her and her moveset so I did some stupid stuff, but still won since the other player didn’t seem to know the matchup as well lol Her sliding grab seemed like a potential annoyance, will test later to see how dropkick works against it. She can potentially be a slight problem for Fuerte, but hard for me to tell now. this weekend I will do some testing and will update with results.

Confirmed. As long as qbomb starts up it beats Juri’s pinwheel kick. It trades/beats ex pinwheel depending on where her feet is.
Not sure with what we can punish dive kick. Record function doesn’t overlap with all guard. Perhaps this Saturday I can confirm with my bro helping me
I was in an online match against a Juri and I noticed something by accident that might make this matchup truly our bitch. She did EX Pinwheel and it was CAUGHT by El Fuerte’s MK Guacamole. I have classes to go to in a minute and I won’t be able to confirm for another six hours if it applies to the others. So can anyone check these for me?

from the looks of it juris dive kicks and pinwheels are all unsafe. ive been grabbing peeps once they are done w dive kick all yesterday. ive notice with proper spacing only light pinwheel can be safeish but it aint too much of a problem. also no matter what spacing is used pinwheels and dive kicks get punish by ultra 2 on block.
Well it looks like makoto gonna be a 5:5 for us. if she chooses ultra one she is free once knocked down and in general we can control the pace of the entire match. if she chooses ultra 2 it beats out literally all of our wake up game. ive tried everything but the lk version of her ultra 2 hits me everytime i try to do nething on her wake up. the only good news is that shes looses all her goood dmg option while standing w/o ultra 1. so it seems even to me
Just tried a few things against Juri’s pinwheel , here is the result:

EX pinwheel is nothing to worry about. Other than what has been mentioned on how to punish it, dropkick seems to own it as well (though rarely it trades but even then the trade is to your advantage). also, j.fp almost always beats it, and if it is a cross j.fp it will either hit her or just whiff.

Normal pinwheel can also be beaten by j.fp with a rare trade once in a while, cross j.fp seems to work all the time. dropkick is not great unless done from a good distance, otherwise the pinwheel will hit you before the dropkick starts up. I found out that in close range, you can stuff it with st.mk or sometimes trade, but if she does it too close then its just better to block and punish.

Ibuki:
Ibuki’s slide-throw (whatever it’s called) can be blocked low and U2 on reaction, I tink even the EX version, it has like 20 frames of recovery or something ridiculous so it’s really not that hard to do.
Ibuki’s slide-throw beats cr.RH clean every time, and probably beats slide out of the run as well
At the beginning of a round, far st.RH will jump over Ibuki if she does the slide-throw right at the start.
I feel like you can punish the slides after block with RSF, but I haven’t tested it or managed it yet.
Blanka:
U2 on reaction immedaitely to Blanka’s U1 gets beat - BUT I think just like with Ultra1, i you can block and then punish it should probably work.
Tortilla seems to have lost alot of what made it great. Lots of things are beating it, less damage. At least it still has very quick recovery and is a good counter to jumpins.
After blocking condor dive run slide was blocked. Pay attention to where you blocked condor dive otherwise you will mistime ultra 2 counter.
Is it me or has hk guac’s active time and range been increased.
Gief headbutt still beats tostada and is kinda 50-50 with air grab.
Was watching a TKD video when he played a Bison and he did something really clever against him on Bison’s wake up.
Bison does EX Headstomp on wake-up to avoid Fuete’s mix-up game, right? So what TKD did was he just started running in place (over the knocked down Bison) as if to splash him…and then stopped, and then did a neutral jump. At this point, Bison has recovered and did an EX Headstomp to escape (probably thinking he was gonna get splashed or something). FREE AIR THROW! It works like a charm.
I tried it against some experienced Bisons and was successful every single time Bison did an EX Headstomp on wake-up.
(dunno if this tip was already mentioned, but there ya go! )

I wonder what kind of awesome set-ups he’ll think of for Ultra spark since it definitely has more utility than ultra 1.
TKD goes to the arcades everyday after work. Even broke up with a gf just to play more. If you want to get that good, drop your life and play everyday. You will lose a lot, but that’s a stepping stone to getting better.
ok so i think ive found a way to get a confirmed ultra 2 setup.
I did this about 5 times to players online (yeah i know not to take online seriously but i worked)…well once the overhead part of standing hard kick connects, do u2…it seems to connect and know one it able to avoid it…can someone confirm this…I would but i have to work a long shift tonight
