Thanks a lot man, I think this can come in handy, and certainly knowing the difference between stances for Gen’s case can help in getting me more fimiliar with this matchup. Really appreciate the info
What is the tortilla reset? I might be doing it and not realizing it and I am not good with names of techniques.
Tortillia in the corner
check out Brainz #1 combo clip too… basically put the opponent in the corner(only works on the listed chars )…tortilla them… work the timing to make S.short(crouching works too) stands them back up before theyre falling animation is finished (instantly at the end of the first thud…INSTANTLY!) …it will reset the char so you can:
*Hk Super
*Dash fwd throw
*tortilla again
there may be more i will test tonight.
sry if my decription sux…its something you more so have to see (i tried! lol)
Note: It’s not as hard as it seems, it just takes time to get the timing. Only took me about two weeks of practice and I land it 100% of the time now!
Here’s the clip:
lol i know…its not at all…its a bit harder to explain tho
that clip will give a WAY better visual though
woah I’ll Have to make a Tricks Post…
I think I’m goign to start working those crazy shenanigans into my game. I messed with it a little bit when that video came back but didn’t really incorporate much of it, I think I play a pretty simple Fuerte.
I do too. I’ve more or less gravitated towards playing a patient, turtling Fuerte. but this tortilla reset is something to be awake and aware of
I think that its good to switch it up every round…til i get the knockdown…then i decide on how much pressure i want to apply (i look at my life bar too lol)…i try not to turtle as much as bait…i try to train my opponent as much as possible…RSF as much as possible…shenanigans as soooon as i get the knock down mos def if i have the oppourtunity to tortilla reset (i have done it in a few matches…its so funny watching the opponents reaction…they hit nothing most of the time)…i will usually run back (a char space or two) and watch to see if the know what the heck happened…once i get a feel for the reaction,i go and apply the pressure needed for the situation…if i have a little life lead i wait for them to screw up…turtle lol
Densuo, plz hook up a shenanigans (lol love that word) post =)
*oh guac auto corrects…i wanna look into it more though its weird
Rufus ex messiah…whiff
F+Mk works to make it wiff on wake up…based on your timing
play with this to see how it works… i have made it wiff a few times(i dont work with it as much as i should) …we know it can be baited out so go from there and sorta/kind of know its comming =)…try it… let me know what you guys think i,wanna try and see if i can make it more consistant
Add on
so far for this to work you have to run stop(either fwd or bkwd…a little over a character space…)lets just say 2 spaces after knockdown…then f+mk and you have to shower AS SOON as you stop …like your trying to link it to look like 1 move. HELLA HARD to do …still looking into it though…
oh another move that knocks him out besides s.mp (when he is comming toward you) again stay at about 2 spaces away cr.jab …
If you have EX to burn (at about 2 spaces again! lol) you can guac him on reaction =)
I love using back run xx forward jump Airthrow.
haha good stuff man!
First time I did this was in a local ranbat. No one but me knew it worked. Needless to say people lost their minds.
yup i got a WTF from my opponent as well when i guac’ed his blanka ultra. priceless reaction.
I once depended on Blanka’s chip damage to get me to Ultra and then Ultra’d him after his Ultra. It was swell. Wasn’t in a tourney match or anything though.
Yea its very cool when you can do that. I once had a Blanka trying to finish me off with his ultra’s chip damage. I took the risk and blocked it even though I could have evaded it, and I was very lucky as I remained alive with an almost invisible part of my health bar, and then countered with my ultra and finished him off, he got REALLY pissed :bgrin:
I managed to catch Blanka’s Ultra as well with EX guac in several other matches, though I don’t nail the timing all the time yet.
EX guac is just extremely reliable in so many situations, its one of the main reasons I barely see a full super bar anymore (that and EX run when escaping pressure). It seems the super is just very wasteful of some better choices, though rarely it can be useful when you are in the last round with a full super bar, and that super can finish off the match through a combo, most people don’t expect it so it has a nice surprise factor.
Bingo. Every match that I have won against anyone I thought was good I never had a full super bar
EX Guacamole and EX Run are Fuerte’s most important moves aside from RSF
sliding corpshop
ok so we all know that we slide through Sagat and Vega as soon as they’re getting up right?..well im still testing other chars and hopefull we find more use for this (i use it…but not as much as i prolly could)…because it works on more than just them =)
Able: once you knock him down delay your slide (because he gets up a bit sluggish)…
Blanka: say you knock him down with one slide…when he hits the ground a circle appears(from the thud on the ground) …once it starts to go away then get ready to slide…basically you have to sorta time it…BUT it works! =)
tell me what yall folks think…im gonna test more and try to find better timing aids… i will post more later on today
lol Add on
Fei Long =)
