Speaking of EVO, if an El Fuerte gets in the top 8, I’ll take a picture of this site if we have 500 people like the Guile forums did when Daigo was using him. Then watch it dwindle to just us and the new few, proud, ones that choose to stay.
I haven’t been doing real safe jumps, just really late ones. I haven’t been teching obvious throws but relying on crouch teching (which I can’t do properly), I FA too much to try and RSF, my mixup game is extremely weak sometimes but I still don’t change anything. So I’ve been on a losing streak for a while and getting outplayed by people I know I can beat D:
And if people decide to jump on the bandwagon, I’d be fine. More competition would be nice.

It’s funny, I was with with some friends yesterday at a SF4-BBQ and was talking about Dawgtanians option select video and they were amazed that I could name a bunch people a who frequent the fuerte boards. I said it’s easy, there’s like 20 cool guys here, as opposed to the 10,000 assholes in the Ryu section lol.

I’m proud to say that I can finally get 4-5 reps of RSF consistently. What should I practice in training mode now, before I start playing vs. people again?
Practice ending it with RS c.mk loop into (insert mixup option here). For example:
RSF xx RS c.mk (times N) xx RS shower kick > lp/lk/c.lk > c.mk loop/throw
RSF xx RS c.mk (times N) xx run and tostada/tortilla/fajita buster…
RSF xx RS c.mk (times N) xx RS throw
RSF xx RS c.mk (times N) xx run and back step/sudden stop and block/react
etc…
Also, practice the option select armor cancel ultra, ambiguous crossups, frame trapping with shower kick or meaty slide if you don’t have that down.
Practice it on Guile because that mofo is hard to get 3 reps on. After that, practice mexiwont’s suggestions.

I have full faith in our Fuerte community, but unless TKD or Tetsu (WHERE HAS HE BEEN) shows up, I’m reluctant to admit a Fuerte can mindfuck enough people to gain a top 8 spot. I sincerely hope I’m wrong, though.
If TKD did show, however, I’d place bets on him getting top 4 or winning it. He came close to raping Japan National Team Tournament by his lonesome.

Well, I am getting to the point of giving up on Capcom to make a Fuerte figure anytime soon, so I have requested one to be made from scratch from an online hobby shop. Now I am not expecting a great and completely accurate figure, since the shop only relies on images of Fuerte that I provide to make one (they have no clue what SF or who fuerte is, which doesn’t help as well),so they will be taking some time to get it done.
They have done an initial prototype of the head, and it looks pretty decent so I wanted to share it with my amigos here :lovin:
that is pretty sick akashwan. i hope you upload images when the finished product is delivered 2 u. Also y the hell does capcom make like no fuerte merchendise. I would kill for at least a t shirt
how much does it cost for a custom figure like that?

yea Its really sad to not see anything official for Fuerte, one has to get costum shirts instead T_T I really really want an official Fuerte mask.
@bobatapioca: depending on the level of customization desired (e.g. do you want pre-made body parts that look similar or you want one to be done completely from scratch… movable joints or not etc…), it can cost from $200 to well around $1500. Been saving a lot for this so I really hope it turns out good. Once its done it will be easy for the shop to make some copies at a much cheaper price, so if I really like it I might get a few more and bring them to next year’s evo for those who might be interested in getting one (oh boy, I think I am getting way ahead of myself lol its still early to tell how it will work out and if I can even make it to Evo, but at least thats the plan)
