Your guide lacks the infinite, lockdown, and multiple HP combos into chest press for free dizzy. Fuerte doesnt deal weak damage anymore.
Nice.
You need to mention that you don’t really ‘still take damage’ if hit while having super armor like some EX moves give you, you get some greyed out lifebar that regenerates unless you get hit, in which case it’s gone forever.
Also how is that spiral DDT type move done? The one that sends your opponent spinning in the air. All I’m seeing is Flying Throw which I presume is the powerbomb one.
Recorded use of Fierce,Run,Fierce until opponent is stunned.
EDIT: And you can hear an other Fuerte player in the background doing it also.
Now tell me fuerte isnt top tier. Please.
I told you fools!
Lol. Sweet vindication?
IDEA: After you get your dizzy, due the scaling:
lv3 focus, crumple, dash, s.hk launcher xx RUN, STOP, RESET. Either stop in front of them or stop behind them for a free 50/50 crossup. If they guess right, they either DP you or block. If they block, you can continue the ‘infinite’ and lock them down till time-out.
I’m glad Fuerte doesn’t suck, but I’m disappointed that there’s an infinite in this game.
it’s not like u can pull out the infintie any time u want and to settin it up if i’m correct is not simple easy
this is stupid as hell and they should have made fuerte good in a way that isnt remarkably unfun
Added the infinite, but I don’t know much about the lockdown and some of the HP/chestbuster combos.
Could you elaborate a bit more?
The Hp nacho buster combo is the infinite combo’d into that for the last hit for insta dizzy…
I was does run canceled fp combo into st.rh… I doubt it as st.rh is kinda slow but maybe…
I bet if your execution was good you could post dizzy, you could do lvl 3 saving attack, start charging for nacho buster and then start the infinite again go until you think you can’t do it any more and then chestbuster, might even re dizzy, who knows.
Its silly that he has an infinite that should have been obvious to anyone who has played fighting games before all characters with command canceled runs have combos like that! (well maybe not all, but you get my drift) I think he does sort of need it, but its dumb that he needs it. OH well.
you cant re-dizzy in any sf that i know of. stun stays at 0 until dizzy combo is finished and they are hit again separately.
You know, there are plenty of games where characters have infinites and still suck. I remember hearing that 2nd Impact Hugo had one, and he was still pretty bad.
WW, CE, HF and A1 all have redizzy combos (probably super/ST too, but the former i havent seen much media on and in the latter they usually die before that happens). i highly doubt capcom would reintroduce that ‘mechanic’ for a game like this (especially considering that redizzys haven’t shown up for a while in their games). so unless its possible to overcome the pushback, this is probably nothing more than a loop.
Hugo’s infinite requires that the opponent be in the corner and Hugo throws him in the air with that command grab.
Fuerte has to connect with a close fierce anywhere.
Yeah I definitely don’t think he’s top tier. Certainly he’s better, but he’s not top.
Today at Family I used Gief against Valle using Fuerte. Valle spent the whole round hitting me like 20 times with whatever, getting me to block or poke when he’d go into run, and I poked him out of run a few times with standing forward and short, 4-5 times max, and I think I might have gotten like one lariat on something. After a full round of this when I had like 5-10% health left, he tried to run up at me and do his ultra in expectation of my block or poke, and I happened to guess that he was trying for ultra, so I held up, jumped out of the way, landed, did my ultra, and he died. I poked him a few times, guessed right once, and won the round, and he hit me a crapload of times, guessed right a bunch of times, made one mistake, and lost the round. Valle later went back to Dictator.
Oh, I know. I’ve thought Fuerte was high tier since i put my hands on him. Even without the infinite. Time will tell if I’m right on that, but already videos are floating around of him dismantling most of the projectile characters with ease.
He does seem to have trouble with torpedo characters, though (dic, boxer, honda, blanka)
I would you know, think that any character that has a foundation of
-jumping in
-getting in there
-rushing that shit down
-not shooting projectiles
usually has a shit time against the 4 you mentioned.
in the end, I was speaking to another member offline, and he has me convinced (and I agree with him) that fuerte really has no arsenal aside from his mixups. you look at serious dudes like Edmond, or Frenchy, or Sagat, and they have an entire book of different methods, and strats that can be used, or have been used. (maybe not so much frenchy, he’s just rediculous)
Point being, Rushing in there, and getting your hits in, infinate or not is not going to work when you have to bust your ass to get a win. Look at Testament in GGXX. He is a cool dude, and was my fav, but you serious have to work, and work hard to get a win, and one fuck up, and it’s gg
Which GGXX? AC Testament is one of the best characters in the game.
