Alright, how the hell do you deal with Blanka? I’m not quite sure what to do when he just activates electricity and sits there. I tried poking him, I tried body splashing it, I tried run -> command grabbing it… and it all just gets zapped. Annoying.

Also the infinite is some weird ass timing. Haven’t gotten a rep yet, but it’s getting closer.

ive used body splash before but i think that only works on wakeup. try (ex) run->slide or c.rh or even focus

Elec doesnt focus shatter, so that should just give you time to load a lvl3 focus.

I tried doing a focus, but that got zapped too. Wasn’t a lvl 3 so I dunno if that woulda worked. I already tried run -> slide, that got hit too. :[

also maybe try j.hp, blanka’s elec hitbox is alot wider than it is tall in this game.

j.fierce is also not crossing up for me that well, wtf. It’s missing really badly, I’m still unsure the distance I need to space it correctly -.-

crossup fierce only works HELLA deep. the shit is really unreliable but nice as fuck when it lands because its pretty ambiguous.

inf is hard, still cant get a rep but i can get fierce run stop blocked fierce lol

Why include the opinion that the infinite should be taken out of the game that in that guide? Just seems meh to me.

Or hoping a truce [that states the infinite will not be used] between players is formed? Infinite or not, just seems meh.

i conjured a new trick lately that works pretty well.

alot of people i’ve been playing against have wised up to fuertes ultra, making it harder for me to land it, so…

once you get ultra bar, score a knock down. on their wake up spam the backwards run into HP jump throw (the one that looks like a spin)

people usually block high or SA (they’re afraid of MP splash) so you might land one, and if you do, do it again (back run > HP throw) on their next wake up. now the best way for your oppenent to get out of this throw is to either shoryuken or jump backwards. if you’re a good fuerte player, you can space it so that shoryus will always wiff your HP grabs (it goes under you and you land behind them)

regardless of what option they choose, shoryu or jump backwards, the recovery on the backrun HP grab is almost nothing if you wiff (unlike the forward run which has a ton). so, as soon as you land from a wiffed back HP grab, get ready to throw out the ultra as they land from their shoryu or from their backwards jump (usually they throw out a HK on their way back down, but it doesnt matter, you’re ultra will still catch them.)

it works surprisingly well, because there is a very specific way to avoid the backrun HP grab that just so happens to set them up to be ultra’d. try it out

Yesterday I started backdashing on wakeup against Fuerte’s walldive bs, and it pretty much beat the bs for free (backdashes are invincible on startup). Obviously the counter to this is to just do the walldive bs a bit later, but still, the fact that Fuerte has to take more of his opponent’s options into account means that the walldives are a little less beastly.

close standing roundhouse -> chest buster: I tried this but it didn’t connect. I tried it delayed and non-delayed and both versions didn’t work. Can anyone else try it and confirm?

why would it work? and why wouldnt you just do s.hp xx chestpress?

because if you do the chestbuster as they’re falling, it looks like it should hit but it doesn’t hit.

And I wanted to try it just to see if it would work… you can’t have too many options imo.

its due to the way the juggle system works. chestpress probably has a 1 juggle rating.
