i’m assuming he means splashes even though there is no wall involved…
Oh I’ve just been kinda joking about how his meaty splashes/grabs on wakeup being like ST Claw’s meaty walldives on wakeup.
does anyone know if far s.rh is an overhead? i was hitting people who were ducking with no counterhit today… that would be pretty sick
far s.rh is a two hitter, actually. When he retracts his legs to prepare for the dropkick he hits once, and then when he extends his legs he hits again. You can try this against someone is who is trying a Saving Attack to see how it works. The second hit seems to be the overhead IMO because I noticed that it hit ducking opponents all the time too.
sweet, fuerte is new hotness once again. new list of shit to try:
f+mk => super
far rh is overhead?
close rh juggle goodies
btw: im not good at dashing after a focus crumple yet but i noticed that even if you fuck up the dash you can still get close rh => airthrow.
far rh is an overhead. both hits
hmm i was messing around with the cast and i’m having fun with el fuerte. i get more wins when using ken/ryu but they are just so god damn boring.
infinite is pretty hard so far but i think it’ll be not that hard once you get the rhythm for it. the biggest part is knowing how much to actually run before you cancel otherwise you get far fierce that doesn’t combo and isn’t special cancellable (damn i wish it was!) or you get blocked hp… actually though i get the hp command throw when i eff up and i’ve had it hit 100% of th time so far… i don’t know why, but i guess there’s something about fierces that makes people wanna block up? hahaa.
he does shit damage, takes damage like a bitch (jesus hell), but he has infinite and you can also sit there circling the joystick and mashing on jabs and shorts to look stupid
his taunt is funny as hell especially if you do the motions along with him and then cancel it to a run-spasm.
yeah, i’ve just spent hella time trying to convince he’s a fun character based on all the stupid shit you can do outside of the game.
…
mashing back run over and over is the shit
love the spasms
who can actually perform the infinite practically?
ok i played him for like 3 hours.
this guy effing sucks.
discuss.
andry: the most i got is 3 hits… i wish i could actually sit down and practice it for a bit… it doesn’t seem too hard; just a matter of timing. there’s a really short window where this shit works.
i wish he had more target combos or better normals. god damn. his anti-air options pretty much sucks balls and i literally had to do splash move 15+ times to kill zangief. i mean, seriously… wtf.
I can get up to five or so reps… in practice. In a real match I haven’t gotten more than 3.
It’s very possible that this could sound stupid, but I have yet to get my hands on the game so give me a break. Plus I rarely get to see ELF play so…yeah.
I hear some complaining about the chestpress, the hold :2k: for 3secs move. Three questions:
Does this move do some decent damage in comparison to his other attacks?
can you start your focus and start charging the kicks, so that when the focus hits you can release the kicks? Or does pressing an additional kick button cancel the focus move?
I haven’t seen this move in any of the (few) videos I’ve seen of ELF, anyone got a vid that it’s used in?
My friend is planning on maining ELF or Dan (and wario in SSBB, see a trend?) once it hits consoles so it’d be nice to know these things.
Only if you are refering to silly characters… because Fuerte (and dan in every game so far) are low tier, while Wario in SSBB is high tier.
That’s exactly what I mean.
it does a lot of damage if you hold it for 10929 minutes. otherwise, it’s not very good.
it combos off of certain hits; only ones i can confirm is s.close fierce hahaha. as someone said earlier, you really need all your kicks (for throw, for FA, and for knockdown with qcf+p, rh) so you can pretty much ignore it… unless of course you want to start holding it from beginning of round and save it for the last hit of that infinite HAHAHAH
this is news to me, so the quesadilla bump is a TAP esque move that does more damage when held longer?
2 seconds = lvl 1
4 seconds = lvl 2
6 seconds = lvl 3
8 seconds (KK) = ex version.
It combos off s.strong too. Did not get it to hit off c.strong sadly. Ive heard the move is very high stun, supposedly highest stun in the game. Not sure if that applies to lvl 3 or ex version or both.
This info may not be 100% accurate, but its pretty close. I charged ex version once just to see it… took hella long.
does anyone know if there are re-dizzies in this game?
a really good trick is if your opponent is shooting fireballs from the opposite corner of the screen, do a quick wall jump to their side, land jump in fierce>standing fierce>chestpress(knocks down)>FA
hold the FA down as long as possible. if your oppenent does a quick get up, and they usually do cause its habit for most people, they are screwed. your FA unleashes level 3 at the exact same time they get up with quick get up after getting knocked down from chest press. after this you can do any combo you want during their crumple. it pretty much ALWAYS dizzies, cause its basically a hard combo with a chest press, then a level 3 FA, then another hard combo.
the only thing they can do to escape it after you land the initial jump in combo is to not use quick get up. but most people dont think of it being a risk to use.
if they do happen to not use quick get up, you can just backdash out of your charging FA and be safe.
i wish i could post a video of what im explaining, it works really well
this trick only works if you opponent is relatively close to the wall. otherwise the chest press knocks them to far away for them to get hit with the FA
level 1 chest press does not knockdown.
opponent could backdash to evade your level3 focus. or do a reversal dp which armor breaks.
theres other options to get away from that, imo its just that people aren’t used to the quick recovery timing in 4 yet.
