I was hoping this would be fixed, oh well…
How about guac zero damage trades? Are they still there?

I hate this glitch and is highhhly punishable
I always curse the Capcom programmers when that happens
I believe it was noted earlier. The poster felt it happens less often.
I got this wicked plan. Order some Arcade buttons and stick… buy this cheap stick by intec for $20, rip the PCB out of that, and solder the new parts into that PCB and create a new case with a masonite board. With the remaining parts; intec case, buttons and stick i’ll rip out the pcb on the crappily built GC remote I bought for $8, and assemble that back together and then I can play galaga and pacman on my Wii har har har.
I got to play about an hour of Super yesterday, here’s what I got from playing Fuerte vs Blanka. A lot of the stuff has been said before…
-Tortilla “hit box” is pretty damn forgiving now, safe tortilla has some damn good range.
-I could be wrong, but for RSF it seems like the timing is tighter but the close fierce has a little more range than it did before. I was still able to get 5 RSFs to jab > c.mk xx run mixup pretty consistently but it felt like I had to do it a lot faster.
-I think they tweaked the run>slide or the horozontal ball. I kept trying to punish blocked Blanka balls and I don’t think I hit him once. I might have just been doing the slide too fast, but it’s always been super easy to do…idk
-I cleanly beat out the Blanka slide with normal slide a couple of times, that move used to ruin my day, now it’s not so bad.
-U2 covers some pretty sick range really quickly. I punished a whiffed c.hk from about half screen and it seemed almost instant. Also worked as anti-air pretty well, just pretend it’s a raging demon.
Also, Hakan is hard to win with…
Seems to be split oppinion about wether RSF is the same, harder or easier to do. For me it felt the same, but I’m no master at it, I hardly get more than 5 hits in a match. Although it felt really wierd for some of the new cast, especially Makoto. I didn’t get to try it much, but seems you have to run closer to her than the others.
I haven’t played it yet, but I really doubt RSF is any harder, since someone here posted a vid doing 13 hits.
I wouldn’t say it was harder, more that it had a different timing to it…faster seems right.
Good… i always seem to go too fast and get a stupid fajita buster out of it :X
On one of the interviews they said that they made his target combo better. Is it true, because I haven’t read anything else about it.
yeah it actually combos now
It seems like the standing far mk is better too to start the TC, might be in my head, I don’t have the game in my hands like some, but from the vids dawgtanian has in his channel it sure looks faster. If that is true, and the rumors of his low MK being faster are also true, I can only hope they also sped up his low shorts or jabs. Low short being 3 or 4 frames instead of 5 is a much bigger deal than most people think, it would help a lot.
Normals dont really seem faster, but they do feel like they link much easier.
Target combo works very well and combo’s. I use it to poke people away and to stuff alot of things. RSF feels easier to link and more crisper, you can almost tell when your next fierce isn’t going to hit so you can safely stop.
I won my first Super tournament yesterday and won a copy of the game. Feels good actually winning with Fuerte now.
Congrats, i wish i could get an early copy :X
Whats up guys. Long time reader (I mean REAL long, since this post at page one) first time poster (meh). All I wanted to say was all these threads have been exceedingly helpful and quite interesting so i’m looking forward to all the tricks you guys will find when Super finally drops. Ultra 2 looks sick, Fuerte’s looking to be a beast! Viva la Super ULTRA dynamic cooking time!!!
@Vanilla: Congrats man, looking forward to see more Fuertes winning more tourneys in super
Fuerte’s ending in Super is beyond EPIC XD I just love his completely misplaced confidence in his own cooking abilities loool makes me like him even more!
I’m not sure if it’s misplaced but rather his enthusiasm is causing him to have fridge logic in cooking. Does no one talk to him or anything instead of attacking him and his cooking? Either that or his excitement drowns out all the sound. Constructive criticism is the best criticism after all.
Anyway, just two more days for me. If I didn’t have a project, a performance workshop, and a calculus exam this week, I’d be playing as soon as I could on Tuesday, but it’ll have to wait until Thursday afternoon. But, hey, I can live.
Another topic, I’ll try to compile a list of Ultra 2 setups like I did for five characters with Ultra 1 except with more characters obviously. Other than that, I’ll be trying out RSF now that I’ll have more time.
Yea even though I got the game, my work is killing me and I won’t be able to expirement much till the weekend.
But after watching that ending of Fuerte, I think I want a friend like him loooool he is so enthusiastic, a friend like him must be able to cheer me up whenever I am down
