El Fuerte General Discussion Thread

awesome posts guys

speaking of spark…
take a look at this: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/japanese-new-super-street/60566

looks like his new ultra is coming as a slide or from a run (actually cant tell right now, but its sliding after the activation).
isnt that really really good news? I BET THEY ARE!

that could be good and bad. good cause it’s a low attack, bad cause usually low attacks aren’t grabs, which means they’re blockable.

thats the problem.
but otherwise, it could possibly be that it goes thru fireballs. lets wait and see.

actually, nobody in vegas does play fuerte :frowning:

It has been mentioned that it COULD be a sliding grab. No confirmation yet, but if that is the case, then it will go below attacks and possibly be unblockable!!! now that sounds good, I really hope its true!!!

Slide under projectile to a grab attack?

No thanks I don’t want to play Ibuki.

god your negative

god your negative

A neogaf poster who’s part of the Capcom marketing staff has confirmed it’s indeed an unblockable grab. Nothing about the startup frames yet, but he said it’s really fast and has a really long range (for a grab).

It’s obvious… We’ll be using Ultra Spark for opponents that can change direction in Mid-Air, and Flying Giga Buster on those that can not.

That’s all there is to it.

Also, Q-Bomb FADC Ultra Spark?

Close HK Ultra Spark??

Close to the Wall Tortilla -> Ultra Spark???

Make it happen Capcom.

I want to know what made Fuerte so Awesome pre SF4, same as hoping Fajita Buster gets powered up.

I can see the spark evening up the odds with aggressive opponents like shotos and the like (Sagat, Akuma, Ryu, Ken, Rufus).

I wonder if they’ll buff the start up or recovery frames of the Giga buster to even the ultras out though.

@Densuo: since it’s a grab, I don’t think it will work off a hit stun or juggle/falling state.

guys, i noticed something different of fuertes old ultra in ssf4 (refering to the capcom.jp site where you can watch all the ultras from the characters).

go and watch. it seems like his jumping arc after activating his ultra is kinda not that high as it was in vanilla sf4.
i dont want to speculate anything or is it just me who thinks that?

Here is a youtube video with Fuerte’s new and old ultra for you guys to check, Its hard to tell if there is a difference in his old ultra or not (includes the same for Cammy, Viper and Ryu). The new one is on 00:15 and the old one is on 1:14

@aerosoljunkie: Is this similar to the video where you noticed the difference??

yes, its like that video.

just check the character profiles on the capcom.jp page and then select el fuertes picture. from there you can choose between first and second ultra.
watch the old ultra and tell me if you see any difference between ssf4 and sf4. :stuck_out_tongue:

edit: its actually exact that video i was talking about  starts at 1:14.

Its hard to tell if there is a difference. It seems a bit different, I just can’t put my finger on what that difference is exactly (maybe speed??), or maybe I am just imagining things…

the hieght of the jump seemed smaller, it seemed faster, and it missed, but caught him anyway.

Better. I’ll take it.

I almost burst out in tears…How am I going to use Giga Buster with counter air ultras? /weep

cheer up mate :frowning:
maybe do it after them?! wait, that was to obvious.

The Ultra Spark is your friend!!! I think it will prove to be a lot more useful against those air ultra weilding characters.

So, in looking at how his Ultra has been altered, it seems faster, but it also seems like that may limit the distance on it somewhat.

I meant catching their jump lol

What’s the input for Ultra Spark?
