Actually you can! Not really in an actual match though but this combo is possible with a fadc if the q bomb hits someone out of the air. Just nitpicking
Ahaha, oh man. That’s up there with sHK xx Run past, Stop, Super and sHK xx Run Press as far as Fuerte’s shenanigans combos. Awesome.
Ninja edit: I know you can sHK xx Run Stop Guac, but can you do it with a crossunder before the Guac? I can’t get it but my execution is pretty bad.
o_o!
Came in 3rd at mini tournament here. Losses were to a Guile and a Sim…
nice job man ive come in second place at the last 2 ranbats we have held Utah has a pretty big scene here
I like shenanigans, don’t hate. Y’all don’t know about that launch run press. And at least, Run Stop Guac would build more meter than just Guac for the same damage.
Actually I just realized that you can fadc -> lk guac after an ex bomb that hits them in any situation in the corner. Pretty easy actually. how about that using 3 meters for 300 damage. I probably shouldn’t have told you guys about this I should have saved it for nationals.
Launch run stop guac gives you the same meter as launch guac does, you don’t get any meter for running. If only you did. I’d pump that shit from empty to full in 10 seconds flat.
In case you guys didn’t know, far-HK juggles, which means you can link it to guacamole and a fully connecting HK super.
For instance, you can hit a crumple FA on a jumping opponent which will launch him into the air, after which you can always link far-HK, HK super in the corner and sometimes mid-screen.
Another application is if you happened to backdash after hitting an FA lvl 2 into crumple, you can either wait a moment and then far-HK or immediately run-stop close-HK for a juggle.
Please don’t misunderstand. I’m all about shenanigans Heck I used to think El Fuerte was ALL about shenanigans
I Posted " O_O " simply because I was more like Oh shit then anything else
That’s right, no meter from the runs themselves, lame. Can you get the crossunder?
EX Bomb FADC EX Guac would be amazing to hit somebody with.
I… will have to try that. Sounds intriguing.
Oh, word My bad.
As an aside to anybody, why can’t you do csHK xx EX Bomb? I don’t mean why won’t it hit, I mean that only a normal Bomb will come out for me.
Doesn’t hit, lol. At least not on the character I was trying it on, I forget who it was. EX guac comes out significantly slower than LK one.
B-b-but I want to burn all my meter really really quickly!
Okay, a few things:
-
I got csHK xx EX Bomb to come out, I think I was just letting off one before the other by a frame or so early. It doesn’t hit unfortunately.

If you happen to be using a 3P/3K map button you can actually use it for unique normals, particularly overheads. Holding forward+3P/3K will give priority to the highest strength normal move (if any, elsewise defaults to HK as normal) with a forward input. Example being, Fuerte’s fMK Shower Kick will have priority over sHK if you input :r::3k:. Interestingly enough, if the input is :df: and used by multiple moves, such as Chun’s :df::hk: and :df::lk:, the LK version gets priority which makes no sense. I need to look into this more.

jHK/jHP -> fMK crossthrough: Just wanting to make sure this has been discussed, where you hit a jHK or jHP and a followup fMK will teleport you through the opponent. Usually it whiffs but I’ve gotten it to force guard a couple times on Claw and Sagat and still passed through, which sets up nicely for a throw. Overall useless because it doesn’t work on block so you’d be throwing away a good free combo for a mixup.

jHK and jHP crossups on cornered opponents: Ever a situation worth trying these?
Fuerte’s Ass j:hk: is easier to crossup with then his Elbow j:hp: when the opponent is in the corner
I have a hella hard time crossing up with j.hk in the corner (or at all, obviously).
I’m trying to figure out if there’s ever really need for it. Maybe if they’re predicting all your Dash followups really well? I dunno, I don’t play Fuerte competitively so much as I’m a training mode whore.
The crossthrough thing’s been discussed though, right? I know I’ve seen it done to Claw with moves from multiple characters but this works on seemingly everyone. Still not good, but cool.
not sure if anyone has thought of this already but i know some ppl have. i will jus call this the “Shoryuken Daipan Reset.” For those of us that aren’t consistent at getting 3 loops and a slide, when we attempt the daipan against shotos and sagat, many of them like to mash shoryukens to get out of it and any frame they get it will whiff our hp. What you do instead is, do 2 loops, stop, block the shoryuken and then continue when they land. This way u reset the stun and damage scale and ur opponent sets himself up for the whiffed shoryuken.

“It” doesn’t need a silly name. It’s called strategy.
It seems alot of other players REALLY DO think to beat Fuerte is just FA -> rape…
Well they only need one crumple to hurt you significantly.
