Someone in the challenge mode thread said its the last combo you have to do in his challenges.
the point is is it infinity or at least a good amount ?
In challenge mode they only ask for 3 FPs to connect so until someone who’s able to do it in the arcade tests it then we don’t know for sure. But it did look like it can at least take a few more than 3 FPs.
This is the best thing I’ve ever seen posted on this site.
Myself and Oliver will test the ability of the loop on console.
SINCE WE ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT CAN. MWUAHAHHAHA
Thanks for the swift response. I’ll try and keep that in mind, though I could have sworn that propeller torilla got beat a few times.
Perhaps I fell short since it was my first time playing. Hmmm…
dont count on being the only ones for long…practice mode = hyperbolic time chamber.
I was able to get 3 hits of RSF loop in 15 minutes. I’ve gotten 4 maybe 3-4 times now. Its still there, and it still rocks.
Sweet’ums! Thanks, Keits - can’t wait to start trying out the loop combo once I get the game next week.
so how different is it from the arcade version?
I’m stuck on his last challenge mode:arazz:
I can get 2 hits just fine, but the 3rd is too far away and gives me the long range FP instead.
What buttons are you using?
I’ve been running with MP cause its easier for me to keep up the rythm.
Does it help at for me to be cornered or my opponent cornered?
Don’t touch El Fuerte Chris.
You’ll only be disappointed that he blows major ass.
he doesn’t blow major ass. its the other chars being too op!
try changing the timing on your run stop. in this thread i believe people in the arcade were saying if you don’t stop quite so fast you get back into range better and don’t slowly lose ground
assuming u have this much time to do 1 loop, you want ur timing to be something like this:
fr____sfr
f=fierce
r=run
s=stop
empty space=wait for it to run…far…
so when u hear urself tap the buttons, it should sound something like taptap -> silence -> taptaptap -> silence -> taptaptap with the silence being pretty long, as long as u can let it run without not comboing.
as far as how fast u should input the commands, as fast as the game lets u, which is pretty fast. so if your losing a lot of distance, it is also probably because u’r pressing the taptaptap too slow aside from not letting it run enough. Both are major issues in screwing up this combo.
Thanks, ill give it a try.
He’s fun! Next time at AI, you use rog, ill use elf.
I have kind of a stupid request for you guys, but these vids have helped me out in the past.
Basically there are vids out there of guys like Jiro and Harmonaz’ hands doing tricky stuff like Kara demons, Hugo Stand 720s and things like that, so we can judge what kind of motions and speed is REALLY necessary to get something down 100%. I am trying to learn the RSF myself, but having a little bit of a tough time.
Do any of you guys proficient at the loop have the time to make a vid of your technique and put int on youtube? I think that would be a great help at least to some people.
If not, I will do it once I have the combo down. =)
RSF is easy, because you can do it slower to get a rhythm down, and speed it up as you go until it starts comboing.
Do this, slowly:
1.) HP xx qcf+LP
2.) wait until you are very visably in range for your next HP to be close HP
3.) Press LP then HP quickly (like kara throw speed), then qcf+LP again and go back to step 2.
Just gradually speed up this pattern (sounds like a gallop) until you get a few hits to combo. Then practice.
I thought it had to be done as quickly as possible, that’s the only way I’ve been able to combo it in training mode.
What I did was broke it down sequentially, learning how to stop the run by double tapping Jab as fast as possible, and then trying to add in the fierce. It’s been about a day for me, and I can get the first rep so I am going to stick with it until I get it… I just thought it would be nice to SEE it being done.
My execution is not the best, but I like the idea of the RSF loop because I used to play marvel and doing a single fast QCF is a lot easer than a double QCF for some reason. (I never really learned double qcf motion playing Marvel or Super Turbo cause 1) doesn’t exist in marvel and 2) I play chargers)
Seems like it should be easier than ROM or some of the Marvel infinites.
Yes please. I attempted to do it this weekend (went to the arcades finally) and was thoroughly embarassed. I thought it was going to be way easy…but reading it =/= doing it.
