This is awesome… Much appreciated.
is there currently a limit on how many hits the fierce loop can be done? I always thought it was like 6 or 7 from the the japan tournament videos, but I got up to 9 hits a couple times without including ex-runs (It was on viper, honda, and ryu). Even at 9 hits it still looks kind of close enough to do more.
2 questions.
-
What is the name of the move where you hold in one kick button?
-
If it’s held down for a long period of time will it do more damage or more stun?
thx in advance.

quesadilla bomb

it will do more dmg and stun if u hold it for longer. With a limit to how much it can do at most.
Level 1: Hold for 120 frames (2 sec), 50 dmg/100 stun dmg
Level 2: Hold for 210 frames, 100 dmg/150 stun dmg
Level 3: Hold for 300 frames, 150 dmg/200 stun dmg
EX Version: Hold for 390 frames, 200 dmg/300 stun dmg
Oliver?
I CANN DOOO THHEE LOOOPPP TOOO
What is the amount of sec. you need to hold for the Level 2,3,and EX version?
take the amount of frames and divide by 60
MATH SUCKA, DO IT YOSELF
lol ok then nothingman if you get the 360 version of SF4 we should have some ditto matches.
XBL name- Vile Vigiliante
im assuming that the EX version you have to hold 2 buttons or am I incorrect in assuming that?
This is brilliant. Did you make this, Haunts? If so, it is amazingly awesome.
El Fuertes entire metagame whipped up into a 2 min song, awesome XD
That song was tight. Made me smile. I’ll participate more in this thread now just because of that, good shit to lil shoto + linkers.
Honestly, I think many are possible, 9, 12… I’m not really sure, it may be situational. In my opinion after doing it a bit and eyeballing it seems like it might even be a true infinite.
In practice though, it doesn’t really matter much. The massive damage scaling means that each hit after 10 is only going do be doing maximum of 20 damage anyway.
20, is of course, more than zero, and I realize that if you can manage to rack up enough off those 20’s (remember that guts cuts damage down to .75 so at some point you’re only doing 15 damage), then you of course would want to do it until death.
The two factors that stop you are inherent to the design though:
- You have to consider what happens if you mess up the loop at that point, because I think anyone that can do it can agree that at it’s still pretty easy to mess up at SOME point. You are liable to basically lose ALL your life if that happens, no need for me to rehash the many ways low-life fuerte can quickly get hurt.
2)The main benefit is getting a STUN off the loop, and your best bet for that is to reset at some point towards the end of the loop if you choose not to knockdown.
This is important for anyone that has missed this: YOU DON"T WANT TO STUN WITH THE LOOP, YOU WANT TO STUN AFTER.
Accomplish this in whichever you wish, with a quick reset splash/grab, or a knockdown into continued pressure. But as stated above, doing a many-hit combo drastically scales your damage, and the combo counter doesn’t reset after a dizzy. Ideally, you would want to dizzy with just one hit, then you could jump into your loop for full damage, or lvl3 focus to ultra. Doing any combo, over 5 hits really, makes the follow-up damage that might ensue after dizzy paltry.
Happy Splashing.
hah, I didn’t make it. Im merely Lil’ Shoto’s booking agent.
The is so stereotypical and cringe worthy that it is actually hilarious.
After watching his IGN intro I decided I have to make this little guy my #2. I LOVE his original voice…the English voice over is terrible!
Just finished installing the game and now going through Elf’s Challenge mode. This is awesome by the way starting with level 1 which just teaches normals, and going through special moves, linkable moves, combos, etc.
I have to agree with everyone who said the game does look much better in motion. Simply beautiful.
Enjoy gaming everyone :-).
somebody know if his loop is still in the game? did not find a answer and since i just manage 3 times…
by the way wath would be the best PUNSH for the run? LP;MP;HP?
after some thinking i gues it should be no buttenpress instead of a button up…
I finally got to play this game for the most part yesterday and surprise, surprise, El Fuerte looks like he might be my main. I managed to do surprisingly well with him yesterday, but that’s probably because he has excellent specials and excellent supers to make up for his relatively shitty normals.
Seriously, though, does he have any decent normals outside of cl. Fierce, cl.jab, c.forward, and (maybe) jump fierce. It’s weird that once I got in yesterday, I got into the habit of doing close fierce into backrun HP, but that maybe be because of the Bison I barely beat with El Fuerte and everyone else getting in the habit of focus attacking without El Fuerte having any “real” combos outside of the loops and just jabbing the crap of people.
Speaking of Bison, is Guacomole the best response to his Devil’s Reverse bullshit if you don’t have an Ultra stocked? (I managed to catch the Bison abuser with El Fuerte’s Ultra, which is part of how I won finally after losing 5 times [4 times with other characters].) I’m asking because even if you run at Bison and stop, he seems to get frame advantage on hit and he has too much control (grr…) over where he can land with that damned thing; on top of that, Guacomole seems to beat it cleanly.
Besides Bison, the only person I had real trouble with yesterday as El Fuerte was Blanka. Blanka, outside of an EX Shoryuken from Akuma (or Sagat), was the only character that I played that seemed to have a solid counter to El Fuerte’s running bs: Electricity. That special move seems to be either trade or even beat El Splash, but for some reason seems to lose to El Fuerte’s crouching forward pretty cleanly.
Hmmmm…I guess I’ll try and get some more practice in, though it’s expensive and time-consuming to go to SF.
backwards run into propeller tortilla (hp grab) beats electricity clean
also his crouching fierce is a good anti air normal
Any word if the loop fierce combo still works in console version?
