Lol I’m jealous. I’m still working on fierce run slide. I do it for eons and I stay getting it blocked. I’m not moving on to rsf till I get this 100% of the time. I guess I’m doing it too slow or too fast sometimes. The window for it is so much smaller than ryu’s crmk xx fireball.
I’d say I get it 75% of the time. I’m sloppy. I was never this sloppy back when I was stationed in Sasebo Japan. Now that I think about it my block discipline was better. I’m confused really. I’ve been on this since vanilla and it’s still inconsistent.
Edit: Sloppiness aside I need to stick to my stick instead of switching back and forth between pad and stick. Speaking of sticks. I hate my madcatz TE
It’s so hard for me to get the RScr.MK (Did we ever name cr.MK? It should be alcohol based). Looking at the frame data, assuming I understood it right, I have less time to link the cr.MKs than I do with Fierces. I hope that monitor makes it easier by killing the lag.
EDIT: I love my TE S aside from that I have to keep cleaning the oil from my hands off of my stick.
Lol @ oil comment. I guess the way I hold it doesn’t really make my hands gettin’ sweaty a factor.
My problem with the te stick is that the stick is too friggin short compared to the ones I used in japan, I THINK the cabinets I used were octagon gates but I don’t think that’s an issue… and the buttons are too sensitive for my liking, I barely touch them and they go off. Granted my brother, cousin, and two buds don’t have any complaints so I’m gonna get a different stick and let them use that one.
Bottom line I’m not happy with the stick, but my own execution is still the main issue.
Is there anything we can do against that fatass’ headbutt? I feel like I can’t do much of anything to counter it or as a reversal. I’ve tried jabs, but they never come out on time (I blame online lag) and anything else is too risky.
thanks dawgtanian for making me pay attention to this combo i didnt realize the effectiveness … i hope you dont mind me throwing up the dmg and stun on this topic i just figured since i had on paper already it would save the trouble
RSF (x4) , Target combo does real nice dmg (392 and 550 in stun) going into Gordita Sobat -> link s.lk after RSF say (x4) is only more stun 610 and 378 in dmg … neither seems bad at all to me , opinions ?
@ Kuma
not to much point in really trying to punish with online lag bro it wrks but its harder … you can Dropkick , cr,lp (we all gotta start using these code names sometimes lol) and on block just reversal U1
I hate having online as my only real option on a normal basis. I’ve complained enough about my limited options. I guess I can try filling him on arroz con frijoles and remember to serve him a Giga Buster on reversal.
And my goodness, it seems we’re at another spike in Fuerte’s metagame development. I feel so behind, but at the same time very excited since there’s more for me to work on with that monitor and then I can go el pollo loco on my opponents while still being hated by local players.
EDIT: I feel like this women symblizes combos for El Fuerte.
no problem dude, it was my pleasure. you’ve got it all down already, just gotta believe in yourself more imo. and imma say it again, fuerte ain’t free for rufus!
damn that rose match. i was really disappointed but oh well you learn and just move on. thanks for the support anyhow, really appreciate it. to be honest i was really angry coz it felt like i disappointed myself, ya’ll and chris hu more than anythin but yeah, thanks again man.
^ wish I had known you guys were there. The next time I go to a tournament I’ma paste a BIG WHITE CARDBOARD sign that says I main fuerte on my back so we don’t miss each other
Question: given possible changes to frame data for more than just jab(s) and guacs can someone gimme a link to Fuerte’s frame data? I want to look over some things and then see how I’ll move ahead with the Normals and shenanigans threads.
Been away for quite a while. On the subject of lurkers, I read this forum every now and then for some tips, a laugh and some inspiration, even though I hardly have time to post. I tend to play my own way, but it doesn’t mean I don’t take into account the advice that everyone gives.
I play for fun, so you might say I’m not a serious player. However, every match I play, I have no intention of losing, even if I have a sliver of health against my opponent’s full bar. I’m realistic in that I know a stronger opponent when I see them, but I have faith that no one is invincible and I always have a chance.
I’ve only made top 8 in an SF event once or twice, but I’ve managed to upset some great players who were much better than me. My big moment was knocking ToXY, Melbourne’s top player into loser’s bracket once in 2009, Fuerte vs Sagat in vanilla. On the final round he got me to practically no life and was about to finish me off when I made a retarded comeback with a psychic Ultra, then literally spammed random forward and backward runs until he whiffed his own psychic Uppercut. We weaker players may play mainly for fun, but we still aim to win. Sorry for blowing my own horn though. ToXY’s even more of a beast now and I know my chances of beating him are next to none, but I’ll take that chance and run with it the best I can. Whoever is behind that other joystick, I aim to smash them into the ground.(which is probably why my wife never plays SF with me anymore)
On the AE changes, I’m a bit worried about things like Tiger Knee and Abel’s wheel kick clipping Tortilla on the way up now. Will have to wait and see about those.
On the other hand, spammable 4 frame cr. lp is bloody awesome! Run stop cr. lp from just about ANYTHING! How hilarious is that gonna be?!:woot:
Other things about the changes, others have said already.
